  • Chocolate with peanut butter swirl, the best are Tillamook and Baskin Robbins.
  • I get a weird numb feeling sometimes when I eat celery...

  • If hot tea doesn't count then it was 80% dark chocolate.
  • I get that feeling if I eat half a pint or more, but I think it is because it is cold... happens with regular frozen foods too.

  • Log my food regardless of what I eat (you'll see it, 6 tablespoons of peanut butter, a bag of chips, or a Little Debbie cake when I am trying to avoid sugar... yes to keeping my binge foods out of my house) and go to the gym. Sometimes I skip the gym, but it always results in a worse day; it helps to have a SO who tries to…
  • Since you have the recipe, I would just create a recipe. Or you can add a food. Either way should work, but if you change the recipe at all, I would create a recipe, because then you will have more accurate values for macros and calories.
  • I had to stop buying peanut butter because of this problem - except I would eat mine with a spoon. Nothing compares, no substitutes stop the craving.
  • I don't do what most people call meal prep, but I do prepare food in batches. I like egg salad (or chicken or tuna) because I can switch it up both on the recipe and how I eat it (on a salad, with flax crackers, by itself); it is also cheap and has pretty good macros. I eat a lot of salad at lunch, so I always have some…
  • Mine is open. It looks weird because I am low carb. I also go over my goal a lot because I have the goal set below maintenance, but I am actually trying to recomp.
  • The cookie recipe is pretty good, I recommend reducing bake time to get a soft cookie that doesn't crumble. If you like cheesecake (real, baked cheesecake) it is pretty easy to transform a standard NY cheesecake recipe to Keto-friendly. Replace the sugar with a 1-to-1 sugar replacement (we usually use a blend of powdered…
  • Cauliflower may be more nutrient dense than your typical wheat crust; it has fiber, vitamin B, vitamin C, potassium and magnesium (calcium from the Parmesan, too). I would say it really depends on what your macros allow and which you think tastes better. Personally, I would never go with cauliflower crust, but I wouldn't…
  • I like these pancakes a lot. I also like to eat deviled eggs (egg salad if I am lazy) which can pretty much have anything mixed in (hot sauce, blue cheese, smoked salmon). In terms of dessert, I like to make ice cream using this recipe as my base. I just switch up how I flavor the custard, sugar-free syrups and a wide…
  • The insidious allergies/sensitivities are the ones that have uncommon symptoms. I have a friend who found out she was allergic/sensitive to both corn and pork. She never had the common allergic reactions, but once she stopped eating them a whole bunch of her health issues were reduced in severity. She was able to add pork…
  • Macros consumed in combination are not well studied, also blood sugar effects can vary between individuals. Blood sugar meters are relatively inexpensive and you find out what combination of things affect your blood sugar.

  • I usually just make a few extra servings of something and bring that for lunch. So I will boil half a dozen eggs and have 3 or 4 servings of egg salad (eggs, mayo, lots of mustard) or chicken (canned or boiled chicken and ranch dressing) and have 3 or 4 servings of chicken salad. Soup is pretty easy to make extra of…
  • I agree that you should try to work with your doctor when you can afford it. That said, food sensitivities can cause fatigue. This is anecdotal of course, but I used to have fatigue issues, sleeping over nine hours every night and still feeling tired all day and not being able to concentrate. I did an elimination diet…
  • I think it mostly depends on what kind of food you like. I think my slow cooker is tied with my immersion blender for usefulness in my kitchen, although I love my stand mixer as well, but could live without it. I don't have an instapot, so I can't comment on that, but I also don't feel like I want one. I also really like…
  • Without some idea of your preferences and macro/calorie goals, it is hard to give advice. But that said: Jarred pasta sauce and pasta. Pull out a single portion of frozen, raw meat the night before and let thaw in the refrigerator. When you are ready to cook dinner, boil water in a sauce pan and add noodles. Cook the meat…
  • Eat more of what you already eat, add butter/olive oil to everything, peanut butter is your friend, and eat dessert.
  • If you have a tracker, it might have overestimated the calories burned for the day because some of them project for the whole day based on when you sync the tracker to your phone. I have seen others mention this in threads about trackers.
  • I have tried to wear gloves because sometimes the bar grip is sharp feeling, but no matter how well the gloves seem to fit, they always bunch up and mess with my grip or hurt my hands. Plus, they make my hands super hot. So, I don't wear them. I lift 4 to 6 times per week and don't have calluses, but my max is still pretty…
  • My hair is short (above the shoulders), curly ,and fine. I used to shampoo and condition every day. Then I fell victim to the "washing your hair every day is bad" line. I went through a myriad of different methods, including baking soda, vinegar, condition only, wash every other day, make sure it stays dry in the shower,…
  • Ham and Beans: Smoked ham hocks (1 pound) Navy beans (1 bag) (chopped onion if you want) Water (to cover) (seasonings: white pepper, cumin, paprika, or whatever you think might taste good) The amounts depend on how much soup you want and the size of your slow cooker. Soak the beans over night (in the slow cooker) and drain…
  • If you like to watch TV while using the cardio machine, try listening to audio books or podcasts while lifting weights. However, like some others have mentioned, when you actually get into the routine of lifting weights, it takes a bit of concentration; sometimes I find myself having to re-listen to my book because I…

  • Congrats on your loss so far; the last bit takes the longest. I like to use the JEFIT app (I have android); there are pre-made workouts and every exercise has a .gif to show you how to do it. You can also build your own routines once you get more comfortable.
  • I would have thought it was higher than 600. So much cheese-y, bread-y deliciousness.
  • It isn't no bake, but we always just sub the sugar in a regular cheesecake recipe with a blend of stevia and erythritol and use a ground almond and butter crust. You can probably do the same with your no bake recipe. Make sure to blitz your erythritol in a blender to get a powder so your filling isn't crunchy.
