Well I started at 258 and this morning I was about 236.2....aiming to get down to around 185, maybe 175. It probably wont get TOO exciting until I get under 200. Ive been around 210 for certain periods and I was still pretty fat lol In any case, the closest thing to an NSV is being able to actually button my pants lol. For…

I think in my case its because I was SO fat to begin with and im still super fat. Ive lost like 21-22 lbs in 11ish weeks or so.....but im still super duper porky Point being, its not like im at the point where I am trying to laser cut the last 8 ounces away lol. Im still in the early "low hanging fruit" stages. Its not…

I dont do "intermittent fasting" in any kind of official sense. That being said, on my days off from work I dont eat anything until around noon or 1p.m. and then again at maybe 5pm and maybe again around 8 or 9 pm. So I assume thats pretty close to "16:8" intermittent fasting On work days I eat at 730am, 1030, 130pm and…

in the end, honest work is honest work. only you know how much honest effort something takes and if u r working hard or not etc. The difference between 8-10 and 10-12 is teensy weensy

I just went on "vacation" with my mom and sister for my 50th birthday. Ive been logging in and tracking calories etc since Apr 16th and everything was going good so of course I was worried that the 3 day vacation would throw me way off course. I was actually tempted to tote my scale with me lol. I log in daily and post my…

I started on Apr 16th and essentially I wanted to lose about 70 or even 80 lbs. from 258 to around 185 or even 175 Ive never been patient PLUS I have never used any eating discipline in my life lol. I was pretty much a boredom eater I guess. So I got all excited and plotted out weight loss based on 3 lbs per week and that…

the only specific thing I could say about it is that running IS a high impact thing on the feet/knees etc. Some people simply cant handle running. of course though, exercise keeps us all younger and functioning better etc etc

what about this? https://youtube.com/watch?v=LOErUAYd5YQ

yeah I halfway figured it was a joke site but with the looks of the dude it MIGHT be believable lol. the tofu part was sort of a giveaway hehe
-
personally id go with "active." But as others may have already stated, in reality its neither here nor there. if you track calories and weight for a couple weeks then youll be able to see exactly what a certain calorie will do for you etc, then u can adjust
-
yeah, I like it
-
i might check that out

nah, I dont have a fancy wifi scale and I dont want to get bogged down with too much tracking. Complexity has killed me before. If it aint simple and fast it aint getting done of course MFP does have the basic "report" where I can see a graph and get an idea of whats what. I was half joking with the 'life sux" comment. Its…

This was what I posted my first day here: 5'8" male, 49 yo, 255lbs plug it into a BMR calculator and get around 2000 cals currently I work 4 days per week. I drive a stand up forklift so this involves standing on my feet for about 9 hrs per workday and at the end of that day I am totally shot so there are x amount of…

google for "low bar squats" or 'powerlifting squats' basically you are going to want the butt to move backwards as the first move in the squat....as opposed to the knees shooting forward the butt will go back and you will get some forward torso lean for balance and the weight will be on the HEELS of your feet (or at least…

now that u mention it, looks like my old scale does this. The first time you step on it, the lights blink for a while and it finally gives u the measurement. Then when u step again it sometimes just pops up the same EXACT weight instantly. cheap bathroom scales. cest la vie this morning I got these readings 253.6 255 255…

some of me singing my songs. I cant think of anything with me just talking actually this one DOES sort of have some speaking at the beginning but its not my "normal" voice, its more of a joke voice making fun of the way I heard people talk when i was a kid in the 70s https://clyp.it/beblu3vq https://clyp.it/03sq5usl

im in. starting weight 255 this morning. It would probably be fairer to compare weight lost on a % basis. At 260lbs I can lose 20 lbs easily whereas someone starting at 150 lbs will find it harder. cheers, JJ

there was a diet called "The Velocity Diet" touted on t-nation a few years back. I was tempted but never tried it. there were/are different iterations of it but im pretty sure it is all shakes for x amount of weeks. IIRC it was considered a pretty extreme and sometimes aimed at those who simply couldnt/wouldnt spend time…

just on the surface of it....that other girl is very tanned and in your pic you are pale. That makes somewhat of a difference Also it would help you to find out that girls stats as far as height/weight if u had pics under similar conditions u might not be THAT far away from her

Welcome aboard, I just joined today also. I have many bad habits to undo lol cheers, JonJon

not sure if there is a "standard" anything when it comes to diet/exercise etc. I know that for as long as I have read info on weightlifting/bodybuilding/powerlifting, that it has been suggested to get at LEAST 1g protein for every lb of bodyweight. of course, as I stated, nothing is "standard" and it can all be debated…

yeah, nevermind if they are on a pro photoshoot to start with. Most of what is being pushed out isnt even reality and/or, they reach a certain "peak" condition for about a week, maybe 2x per year and they do tons of photoshoots at that time. They dont keep an extreme ripped look year round. Not even close
-
pics? maybe post a pic of what u consider to be "she hulk" and/or "extremely ripped". Chances are that a lot of the girls you post pics of will be using some performance substances to get that look
-
I see the word "skinny" being used "skinny" and "in shape" are 2 totally different things.
-
basically if you are cutting etc then nothing you can do will turn you into the hulk lol. Doing a 5x5 will help you hold on to muscle etc if anything, maybe add whatever you think u need on the middle day or the last day but most people will advise against it. Adding 2 sets of incline db presses wont destroy the program
-
yeah, I drive a stand up forklift. true, it gives the "power" to move us around etc, BUT its still pretty physical because there is lots of turning, twisting to look around for traffic plus we tend to do a lot of moving around to different positions to try to find a comfortable position. Lots of craning the neck all day…

there are different angles for holding the bar. Some grips put more pressure on the wrist, others put more on the thumb, depending on the angle of the bar laying across the hand for instance this picture. (im just showing it to give u an idea of the possibilities, IM NOT ENDORSING THEIR OPINION lol) the way they are…
