Hey ladies...My name is Babs. I am 66 yrs old. I had VSG surgery on 3/13/2013 @ 300 lbs when I was 55. Not one single regret, yet not the easiest journey either. I lost 80 lbs the first year and then my husband passed away in 2014. That started my 1st 25 lb regain which I lost. Two years later I got remarried and had…

There are so many problems too numerous to list. Would be nice to hear from the tech team...crickets since announcing in May about the elimination of the News Feed. What can the end users expect as we go forward? If this is it, I see the apps demise.

I plan out my meals a few days in advance, it also helps when I am building my grocery list. I just review my entries after each meal, adjust as needed by adding or deleting an item or adjusting the quantity. At the end of the day when I am happy with my editing, just complete the day.

I would be dropping the banana, hard roll & beans. Think lean protein...chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, greek yogurt. I don't eat beef or pork but you could include that. Fill your plate with a beautiful multi veggie salad and/or steamed or roasted veggies, not the frozen packages drenches in some mystery sauce. If you like…

I think you already identified the benefit of the elimination of harmful pesticides etc. I don't want to put those things into my body. Not only should you buy organic when your budget allows but also avoid GMO foods. Genetically modified foods should be avoided if you are btrying nto eat clean and as close to how the food…

I had a chicken leg, half a cup of cottage cheese, a few raspberries, blackberries and blueberries.

I fasted from 5:15 last night until until 11:30 this morning. I then opened my eating window with a large salad of romaine, red onion, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, a few croutons, rotisserie chicken for the protein and I use Bolthouse Farms salad dressing because it is yogurt based and only 30 cal per tbsp.

I am, most of my friends have gone inactive. Looking for new ones

No need...your tool is your tiny tummy. Get back on a bariatric diet. Increase your water and exercise. I gained 15 during covid, 4 lbs down in 5 days. My VSG surgery was 2013

I am 3 years out. Just came back after a 1 or hiatus and a gain of 12 lbs. Lost 4 my first week back. My diary is open. Feel free to add

Thanks for the info. Been doing a slight variation for a week and down 4 lbs the first week. 10 to go to be at my lowest weight since surgery. I will be 3 years post VSG on 3/10. I need to get to my first goal of 160 by summer....50 to go

Ok, time to fess up!! I will be 3 years post VSG on 3/10/16. I have gained 8 lbs in the past 4 months. Seems I can eat whatever I want with no issues. Okay...time to turn this around. In a nutshell can someone recap what the 5DPT entails. Shakes and a small meal at dinner?

Not sure how one would know how much potassium to enter into the database for each food if it has not been captured on the food label. Many people add foods from taking a picture from their phone of the product bar which automatically adds the food to their diary. You could always look up foods for their potassium content,…

I use it all the time, hardly eat beef anymore. I will say you need to season it up as it is very bland. I also use ground chicken a lot which is just as versatile. Google ground turkey recipes, or search it on Pinterest if you have that. - turkey, spinach & feta meat balls - turkey meatloaf - turkey sloppy joe's - turkey…

I already had some last night.... 5 oz sliced corned beef 1/4 c shaved cabbage (the stuff in the small bag used to make coleslaw) 1 oz swiss cheese 2 Tbsp thousand Island Dressing Never missed the bread or potatos

Was wondering the same. I bought some this week. Down about 2 lbs so far with another day to go before I weigh in. Stick has darkened a tad but wondering how dark it should be to be in true ketosis.

Definately going to try the soup recipes
-
Absolutely! I am a planner, helps me with grocery shopping too.

I still remember the day I quit for good....10/10/2009. Yes, I had tried a million times and many ways before. I guess for me it was that my health was on a steady downward slope, I ate too much, drank too much and smoked too much...it all sucked! I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and I could barely walk to the…

Don't know what ay of your goals are but my morning drink consists of 1/2 scoop chocolate Body Fortress protein powder (15g), 1/2 c So Delicious unsweetened almond milk with 2X protein (5 g) & 1 c cold coffee. That gives you 20 g to start the day. Sometimes I add peanut butter or PB2 and whir it up in my nutra bullet.…

I have about 6 of them, never washed any of them. One thing that perturbs me to no end is the Velcro peeling off. Everytime I call and complain about it they end me a new band...LOL. I will have to try the superglue.

I have a nutra bullet and have loved it. I actually burned out the motors while making some ice cream in it, got it replaced with no problem. Don't know what your diet is so I won't take time telling you all the ways I make mine. I would look through the recipes that came with it. there are some great options in there. DO…

Sunbutter is good too (sunflower seeds) as is cashew butter, any nut butter actually is fine with me. NUTELLA....ah yeah that is like crack to me too.

cottage cheese, dill and lemon pepper

Thanks for feeling the need to point out my spelling error :blushing:

I used to be a faithful Chobani girl until I discovered the Dannon Light & Fit Greek. For me and my dietary needs it is a better choice as it is way lower in sugar content. Flavor and consistency are fine for both. Sometimes it is a matter of which is on sale. I also have a local farmer who makes goat milk yogurt which is…

You said you are getting 60 g of protein per week....I hope you meant to say per day. that is my minimum, goal is 80-100 but I am 8 mths out. I was at a goal of 60/day when I was where you are.

No, there are too many free sites out there that would serve my purpose. Their food data base sucks, no recipe sharing, buggy releases-need to do a better QA prior to releasing, slow development. I know it is a hugely popular site but imagine how popular it would be if some improvements were made!!!
