MFP usually puts your protein goal as lower than it should be anyways so I wouldn't worry about it. You should only start being concerned if you're eating more than 1 protein per 1lb lean body weight - it's not that it's bad for you but that's generally pretty high / mostly only weight lifters that I know eat that much…

I wonder if the mushroom part is the same for all canned vegetables? I can't stand anything but fresh vegetables but I have a friend that will ONLY eat green beans, carrots, corn, etc out of a can.

I did that a little while ago and it worked out great. Now I convert calories that I'm about to eat in to time spent working out. So if I want a snack in the afternoon that's 200 calories I think "that's 20-25 extra minutes that I have to work out on the elliptical today if I want to eat that" When put into that…

Yes, TOM is very frustrating because of this. The god thing is, once it's over the weight goes away as it's only water weight. Definitely drink more water during this time because it helps flush everything out and keeps the bloating down to a minimum.

very inspiring. I'm strongly considering going to my doctor back home during winter break for some sort of perscription to help me stop. At 19, I find it really sad that I can't deny that I'm addicted. Every time I try to stop I find a reason to buy "just one" more pack... Thank you for sharing

I absolutely lovee peanut butter and probably wouldn't ever give it up. I actually eat 2tablespoons of it every day / every other day probably along with an apple (sooo delicious) I just work it into my calories for the day and make sure to measure it out.

Chips and salsa. Especially if the tortilla chips have a lime flavoring... or they're covered in cheese. I try to contain myself by putting one serving in a sandwich bag and salsa in Tupperware and only allowing myself to eat it as a snack at work. That way I don't go through the whole bag!

A nice trick I found is doing cycling or elliptical while reading or studying for a course. I just bring in a small book or study guide and easily get both things done in the same hour. That way I don't feel bad for choosing one over the other if I don't have that much time in the day.

Thanks for all the responses guys. The funny thing is; the last few days my fiber intake has actually been high, mostly with apples, carrots, lettuce, and celery. Also coffee and grapes (as one person mentioned) Guess I will be seeing the doc on Friday if the issue hasn't resolved itself.

I purposely made my schedule this semester to not have class till 11 so if I wake up at 8:30 I still have time to go to the gym for a half hour to an hour and get ready for class.
