  • I started at 158.2 and this morning I was 156.2 so I'm down for a 2 pound loss. If only weigh in was yesterday..I was 155.6  I'm looking forward to seeing all of the progress everyone has made and I also can't wait to see our overall weight loss! Happy Calorie Counting!!! :flowerforyou:
  • The last time I had pizza it was terrible...didn't live up to what I remembered. That sure does make it easier to say no!
  • There should be a tab across the top when you go into the part where you add food that lets you select which meal/snack you want to add to. Check there..
  • I think it's good for you body to eat extra calories sometimes...it kinda breaks up the schedule you've got going on and keeps your body guessing. I use this plan pretty liberally on the weekends...:blushing: My food report looks like a crazy roller coaster but I've still been losing pretty good since I started in May. Cut…
  • I get the Natures Own honey wheat light bread. 35 cals per slice! The down side to it is it's very thin bread..but once you get used to that it's fine. When I have a sandwich somewhere other than home I'm always amazed at how thick regular bread is.. I usually have at least one sandwich per day (sometimes two).
  • Beautiful!!! And the dress is pretty good too
  • I've been eating a roast beef sandwich with pepper jack cheese, a cinnamon applesauce and chips for lunch for about 2 months now...sooooo good!! :P I'm a creature of habit..plus it's easy!
  • ok here goes my first challenge..and to make it even more interesting, this morning I was a new low! Starting Postcard Challenge at 158.2 game on!! :drinker:
  • 1. Only Girl (In The World) - Rihanna 2. Firework - Katy Perry 3. The Tip Of The Iceberg - Owl City 4. Lions! - Lights 5. White Lights - Deas Vail And of course, pretty much any Lady Gaga song is good on the elliptical too.
  • I actually told the truth on mine! When I got it I was 185 and now I'm 160! :)
  • I did a little investigation since I wasn't sure if my 5 week predictions have been accurate.. I write down the info on the days that I workout so all of these are days that I was good on calories and went to the gym. here's what I found... 6/15 - prediction was 167.9 - on 7/20 I was at 170.2 7/16 - prediction was 162.8 -…
  • That's awesome!! I'm deeply in love with the elliptical too. I used to try to do the running thing but once I got going on an elliptical I never looked back! There was one time I barely made it 10 minutes and thought I would die...but now (just yesterday in fact) I did 75 minutes on the dang thing after work! (I…
  • The thing that I've heard about starvation mode is that once your body thinks it isn't going to get enough energy (aka calories) for the day it will start hording what it already has. This means that it will be harder for you to lose weight because your body thinks you're in a situation where you can't eat to provide fuel.…
  • Oh it would be impossible for me to actually quit my dark chocolate consumption..and I do know that it's good for me (free radicals and heart) but it woudn't hurt for me to cut back some... :blushing: my Dentist wasn't to excited when I told him how much I was eating every day.
  • I'm almost to my year and a half mark of no sodas! It was hard at first..especially when I went to Taco Bell cause that's the only place I could get the baja blast mountain dew (my fav!)..but it didn't take long to stop wanting that too. Now someone offers me a soda and I practically cringe away.."I can't break my…
  • The thing about eating at least 1200 calories is that if your body goes into "starvation mode" then it will hold on to extra fat because it thinks that you are in a situation where you can't eat enough to function properly. I like to think of it as "survival mode" cause it sounds nicer then the starvation one. If you want…
  • Hello! :) I saw a video that said after a cardio workout we continue to burn a elevated number of calories for up to 24 hours after the workout! I LOVE IT!!! I don't have a HRM so I just go by what the machine says which means that when I stop moving it stops counting burned calories. I like to think that if I had a HRM I…
  • Speaking of 3 lbs....we're both 3 lbs from goal! It's just my first goal but still... GO US!!!
  • It depends on what you ate. If it had a lot of salt then you'll retain more water which can add up quick. My really bad days range from 2,500 to almost 4,000 *blushes* my weight the next day depends on what I pigged out on. If I drink a lot of beer then I could be up 5 lbs...last night I went over cause we went to On the…
  • When I was in school I was an art major so there was precious little extra time to do anything. That's part of the reason I'm on MFP is cause I NEVER had time to cook and I would run out and get fast food and bring it back to eat while I worked on projects. That being said..there was one summer semester that I managed to…
  • From what I've gathered about dieting...a bad day every once in a while is a good way to keep your body guessing. If you body gets comfortable with your routine then your weight loss will slow. Also, 450 over for the day isn't going to mess up the progress you've made. You may not loose any weight for a day or two but in…
  • BTW: I wrote this thinking that you are new to MFP, if you aren't then I'm sure you know all of this...
  • My guess is that your body is in shock. If you only gave your body 700 calories (aka fuel) to get through the day and then burned off that amount at the gym then it has nothing to function properly. If you go into the tools tab and go to the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and have it calculate your number of calories needed…
  • I gave up soda in July of 2009..I didn't really have a reason and I wasn't dieting at the time. I tried several times in the past to give it up and taco bell always got me with the baja blast mountain dew (my fav!). This time I know I've kicked it for sure. Of course there are days when I smell or eat something and a soda…
  • When I have a cheat day I go big or go home. I only have about 5 or 6 big cheat days since I started MFP at the end of April this year. Those cheat days range from 2500 all the way to 4000 calories. If I have a crazy cheat day then I try to get to the gym extra or go longer then I normally do to try to make up for at least…
  • what an amazing success!!! congrats on your hard work!!! I agree, a big fat (or skinny? :blushing: ) smile would be great!
  • ME TOO!!! I was just telling a co worker today that Gaga is great for exercising! I usually start my workouts with some Lights to get my heart rate up and then kick it up a few notches with some Gaga!! I love her!!!
  • I agree that people telling you that you shouldn't lose more weight is VERY annoying..but one side of it that I can't help but think of is that these people that have become part of our lives have gotten used to seeing us at the heavier weight. I think jealousy has a big part in it but it is also change. We all know that…
  • Wonderful!!! Thank you so much!!! :flowerforyou:
  • Oh great! Could you also put up the one of me in the grey shirt that says August 2010 at 170 lbs?
