  • Your diet has to be realistic other wise you are not going to stick with it. If you have cake (roughly 350cals per slice) will you be able to survive the day on less than 1000cals? Could you use those cals on something more filling? If you still desire cake then have it, it's a lifestyle change not just a diet for a couple…
  • I'm the same, as a teacher I give 'the look'. If this doesn't work and I have my children with me I will praise them loud enough for people around to hear. 'Well done for sitting really still, you are such a good boy' etc. If it's starting to affect my children I have no problem in asking the child to stop whatever it is.
  • I find a shreddies style cereal is very filling and very low cal. UK Sainsburys Apricot wholewheats (50g) with 100ml skimmed milk. Filling but under 200cals. Keeps me full until late morning. Simple, quick, tasty. Lovely. I'm only on 1200cals per day, so this is a perfect start for me. To boost cals why not top with…
  • Forget the diet! I know this sounds stupid but if you have a hang up about it then it won't work. Are there other influences in your life at the moment that need to be dealt with? Could you be depressed? Get a check up from your GP so that you know you are in good shape (always advisable when starting weight loss anyway).…
  • I love it when people say this. I really needed to lose weight when I started, so when people say it to me now it's a real compliment, it shows that my hard work is playing off. I still have 3stone to go, but it's good to know that people think I look good already.
  • I'm on a very low cal diet - 1100 cals per day. I have the same problem, but find if I have a bit more fat in my meals it makes me go. (I had my gall bladder removed 6 yrs ago - ever since then my body can't handle fat, so gets rid of it very quickly!!) I also use prunes, figs, sprouts, beans. These help, but I think my…
  • Had a friend who owned a night club in Liverpool (uk) so took this over and drank a lot. Woke up in the toilets after an hour(they were clean - fell asleep under the sinks!), drank some water and partied some more. not giving anymore details on here!!!
  • If you are worried about these pills, go back to the Drs to discuss. However please follow the Drs advice. Pills are not the answer for everyone, but your Dr knows about your whole health, so will have considered these factors. If you have questions - to get the best advice, I would go back and talk to them. All the best…

  • I'm 38F, I use an M&S sports bra. These give me just the right support, firm control, but a little movement so they don't look unnaturally still, but I don't get black eyes anymore.
  • I feel your pain. For about 2 yrs I was unable to wear mine - I managed to just about pull it off. About 4 months ago I was able to put it back on again, the best feeling in the world. Now it's even a bit loose - but I'd rather this. Keep going you can do it. xx
  • Sounds like a question for Jeremy Kyle or Jerry Springer!
  • I used to drink, quite heavily as a student, but then who didn't? As I got older I developed terrible hang overs, so stopped getting drunk as I couldn't cope with a whole 24hrs of feeling rotten afterwards. I then used to drink the odd glass of wine, or 1/2 lager when out, but I didn't even average 1pt or even 1/2 a bottle…
  • Despite what others say here I think it is ok if done carefully. I am currently on 1100 per day, often averaging about 980 per day. I have have decreased my calories to maintain the weight loss, as I was on 1200 and not losing, I still exercise but i eat some of these back (not all). If you are healthy, apart from weight,…
  • My normal breakfast is Sainsburys wholewheat apricot bites with skimmed milk - 50g with skimmed milk = 198 calories. However if I am really in a rush and have to grab and run, I now keep in Belvita Breakfast biscuits - Crunchy oat ones taste just like Hob Nobs. About 250cals for 1 pack of 4. While biscuits are not the best…
  • I don't enjoy it, and to keep going exercise needs to be something you enjoy. Also as a F cup, I'd end up giving myself black eyes! Plenty of other ways to exercise without the need for jogging (or running) for me.
  • I have the same problem, but am on a very low cal diet (1100 per day) I take a laxitive when it gets really bad, but increase my fibre at other times - prunes, figs, apricots. Sorry but I also use activia fat free, this has some effect for me - plus I like the taste.
  • Wisdom teeth - 24 Carpal tunnel - 30 tendon / nerve repair - 31 (due to cutting flapjacks with steak knife!) Gall bladder - 35 Kidney Biopsy - 37 Surgery I would like - breast reduction tummy tuck - when I lose all my weight.
  • Hi, I have a few DVDs at home, Davina, Jillian Michaels and some stepper workouts. When I don't have time to go to the gym, and need to work out I use these. I do different ones all the time, as I need to keep the interest. If I don't want to concentrate I do the step DVD as I've done this one so much I know all the moves,…

  • I started off at 247lbs. So felt I was too big at the beginning to exercise. I started with a short walk daily - walked the children to school and then walked the long way home ( 3/4 mile in total) it didn't take long, or interfere with my day. Once I felt a bit better I increased the distance, so used to walk a bit a…
  • 5'2 SW 247 CW 176 GW 123 Have been working hard since Sept 2011. Hope to reach my goal by Sept 2013.
  • I agree with most other posts - go to the Drs. There is no harm in getting it checked out. I was the same a few years ago - turned out I had Kidney failure. Not saying you have, don't want to frighten you, but it's certainly best to get it checked.
  • great loss so far. You're doing great. I don't bother about BMR /TDEE etc. The only no. I concentrate on is the calories. I try to keep to my 1200 per day. (give or take a few) and try to get in some exercise. Stress will not help weight loss. It has to be manageable. Keep going, don't lose the focus on your goal. I use…
  • Hope you get on better with it than I did. I did this diet about 3 years ago, read the book, followed the menu suggestions. Lost 2 stone in a month!!! Brilliant.... However, I had to come off of it I couldn't stand (sorry for those who are eating!) the flatulence, the bad breath, the constipation (although I still get a…
  • of course you will, i prefer the elliptical. the key is to be active and to keep going. it might be good to have a change to mix it up a bit to work the muscles slightly differently. keep going and all the best with your plan.
  • I'll take 40lbs in a month! lol
  • My husband started on 1st Jan. He has lost 22kg since then. I've been working hard since Sept, and lost 27kg.
