  • I worked in an Assisted Living facility for 2 1/2 years...every winter all the staff except me and one other gal got the flu shot (as well as the residents)....some staff always harped on us about not getting our shot, which I thought was rude, I never told anyone I didn't get the shot unless I was asked. Anyway, I was the…
  • Sorry to have to ruin the fun....but the winner isn't a real story http://www.snopes.com/critters/malice/feces.asp
  • , I guess I am going to have to start carrying a stick. [/quote] please don't carry a stick, or wave a stick threateningly at a dog, this will instigate more fight in the dog, they intruprut the waving of arms (or stick) like that as threatening. Our dog went out door with one of my children(not paying attention) , our…
  • In regards to making kids eat everything on their plat make them fat.....not in our case, We required my 5 kids to eat what we put on their plate....but it was small, seriously two bites of each item, then they were allowed to have more of whatever they wanted. We did not want "picky" kids, complaining kids, they are all…
  • I agree somewhat on both sides...first it it totally my responsibility, and my choices. Society, Culture and lifestyle make it harder to make and stick to good choices (but it is still my responsibility) example, in the past couple of weeks I have had about 4-5 events/meetings where the meals are included or at restaurant…
  • depends a lot on the owner and the dog. I run(with my two leashed dogs) and ride my bike on a trail and have encountered lots of dogs. A big dog on a leash, crouched and ready to attack, who's owner was an older man, no way could he have held that dog if he decided to attack. I've seen many many dogs off leash who were…
  • slique tea from Young Living, made 1/2 and 1/2 with Green Tea....Ice cold. It helps me feel fuller so I'm not as tempted to eat, plus it tastes great!
  • my husband employer...we had one waaaayyy back when they were huge big bag phones
  • Since I have gotten my heart rate monitor I have found I average a burn of 100 calories a mile...no matter how fast I go, it's just when I run, I get done sooner :-)
  • Our dogs are on tie out...but someone has been unhooking our little dog. At first we thought he was somehow managing to get it unhooked, so we got a different hook, and he was off that too. Fortunately he loves our other dog and stays with him, but I'm pretty sure if someone ran by he would go check it out. I've been…
  • I'll try to explain my feelings on this, and not just for teenage boys, but men in general. I hear (read) on MPF a lot about co-works, friends, family, etc how hard it is when people bring sweets, cakes goodies, chocolate to work, family gatherings etc when everyone knows they are trying to eat healthy and loose weight.…
  • As a mom of teenage boys (and teen girls)...I say no don't run in your bra. I also don't appreciate the skimpy swimsuits.
  • My son plays soccer... they eat bananas and drink pickle juice to keep leg cramps at bay, I have no idea why.

  • no weird comments, but when I'm running outside I only wear my earphone in one ear. I've had bikes come up behind me and been surprised, I don't like that, I want to also hear whats going on around me, I think it's safer.
  • I'm doing it for the 2nd time, building back up after the winter. I thought it was weird last time, had me wondering again this time. I do agree, when I did it the first time, I was like, WOW! I did it, then I think a week later I decided forget this, if I could do the two miles I can do the tree and I did!
  • I have three different trails I can run within, 3/4 mile of my house. they are all used by a lot of people, fortunately I've never had any problems with people or dogs before, everyone is very good. There are some who let their dogs off leash, but they always have had the dog under control and when someone else is coming…
  • looking forward to trying this...but, I live in a small town, neither grocery store had tangerines, or peppermint leaves. when I was 45 min away in larger town now tangerines, so I got the oranges instead, no peppermint but there was mint, I will try that. Love small town.
  • please do not put conditioner or anything in your hair before getting into the pool....I am allergic to perfumes, when you put stuff in your hair, even with a cap, some of it comes out in the water. If I am anywhere near someone who does this, I will probably have to either move (if there is a lane available) it makes me…
  • sorry the kids said those things...They were probably there because they have nowhere else to go and no one who cares, that is the way it is at our rec center (at least a majority of the kids).... but wow! focus on your hero...way to go for the fiancé charging in there and defending you, gotta love that. it makes me glad…
  • I lost 50 pounds, and now it's pretty much gone
  • maybe try essential oils.....Lavender or Peppermint, make sure it's 100% pure essential oil Lavender Essential Oil is a natural antihistamine and anti-inflammatory. Here’s how to use Lavender Essential Oil for allergy relief: Topically: Add 1 drop of Lavender to your cheeks, forehead and sinuses as needed. You can also…
  • how far are you into the C25K.....Can you lift 2-3x a week and run 2-3x a week till the race? I say don't worry about the scale..
  • I have a polar FT7, it's water proof. I've been using it since January, I swim 3x a weeks and the reading seem accurate compared with my other exercising.
  • Thanks, I did it....really surprised. Stayed at the 500 calorie limit, and didn't get a headache, keeping myself busy in the afternoon helped alot. I did wake up with a headache this AM but breakfast will solve that.
  • also.....100% of the people who have ever drank water, die! therefore we should never ever drink water, it will cause you to die.
  • it has a usb cord to attatch to the computer, threre is a tiny plug on the mp3 player with a twist close to keep it dry the only drawback is that it has to be mp3, I did have to convert a bunch of my itunes music to mp3, once I figured out how to do that it was no big deal tho.
