  • I have used three different bikes that display calories burned and all three gave me different numbers, WAY different numbers! So if you plan to eat back, be careful or use a HRM... But I have lost 30 pounds over the past few months (started in January) by riding an hour a night five nights a week after my daughter goes to…
  • I am 32, so my BMR on all the difference sites ends up anywhere from 1450-1500. So I guess I will just stick to it and just starting measuring myself instead of weighing each week... But I am still interested to know what others around my size eat just for curiosity...
  • I work in a school, so nothing too active. Five days a week I ride a stationary bike with moderate resistance for an hour as well as chasing around a 4 year old while I am home. I have thyroid issues that have been properly medicated for about a year now... Who knows what that means for my metabolism though!
  • When I was diagnosed as hypothyroid, I had a woman tell me that the weight was going to melt off and that it would be so great. She insisted that I was so lucky because I would be soooo skinny. Fast forward 4 years and I am still trying to lose the weight...
  • I understand that maintenance would be different for you and me, but I was hoping to see if those of us with thyroid problems have a common thread of some type, like to maintain we need to eat a few hundred less then the average joe or something...
  • When it comes to thyroid problems, I will try most things for atleast a week in hopes of helping... Left foot or right? :-)
  • This is interesting because last week when I finally lost weight, I pretty much skipped breakfast all week. All I had was a piece of fruit... So if I don't count that, I went from about 9 at night to about 12 the next day = 15 hours. My problem was that I take all my supplements/vitamins/minerals at lunch and this was…
  • I was thinking of the fat versus muscle thing too, but I do measure myself very Saturday so I will keep an eye on that. But thank you! It could just be the change of pace, but for the past month or so that I was maintaining, I ate under calories and exercised like it would save my life! And got no where, so I need to do…
  • Well, I am 5'", 157 pounds and I am set to eat at about 1550 calories.
  • Mine could care less, he has always loved me and been attracted to m... But I can say that he was concerned because of how upset I got when we were close to the same weight. So although he doesn't care, I am quite sure that he would prefer I not get that high again since I became a basket case. As a 5'7" girl, I did not…
  • Oh and by "normal", I mean that below 160 is a normal BMI with my height...
  • I did what Jillian told me to do and "worked though the pain!" I did however do 5 days on, 2 days off for 6 weeks! If you work though the pain for the first five days, so won't be sore by the time you et your two days off... Atleast I wasn't. Good luck!
  • You give me hope! Thanks!
  • I also take 2 tablespoons a day, debated bringing it up to 3, but I take it straight and it is hard enough to do the 2 tablespoons! :-) I don't plan to stop because I have lost weight for the past 3 weeks and before that hadn't lost in 5 weeks... I might just up myself to maintenance which would add a few hundred calories…
  • I am currently doing cardio with some weight work in there. I use the EA Active Sports for the Wii. Also, I have been doing a Jillian Michaels DVD 5 days a week for almost 3 months. So I do eat back exercise still. Any other thoughts on how often to exercise?
  • I hate hate hate circuit 2! I can't get into a full lunge to save my life and she has you lunging all per the place! Bu with that said, I only have 4 days left and I am done! Can't wait! But now I need new ideas for workouts. I did 30ds then this, what comes next? Another JM? Or totally different plan?
  • Happens to me as well! Before I got my own HRM, I thought that running actually made my heart rate slow down... :-) but now I know that it gets pretty hgh!
  • I did this one today! I did sweat more then I thought I would. My arms felt the rowing!
  • I've lost 3 pounds since Sunday! Lowered my calories, so basically i am not eating back my exercise calories. Started the coconut oil Wednesday. Hopefully I can keep this up be ause I am only 10 from my goal for August!
  • I started on coconut oil yesterday... I mix it with PB2 and agave nectar. Twice a day, between the oil and the PB2 it is giving me a bit more protein each day. Hoping that is what I need... Realized my protein intake is almost non existent come days...
  • No custom workout for me either... It is almost 90 in my livingroom, so all exercises are out for tonight!
  • I can't help you, but I would love to see if anyone has any suggestions...
  • Did this one today! Similar to mine, but more core. I am finding that this 2nd half of 6 week to 6 pack abs isn't working my core as much as he first half, so it was nice to add it in to some running! Thanks jac!
  • Well, I've lost almost 30 pounds before plateauing...
  • Not keeping track of my calories is how I got here, so I can't try that. I like writing everything down, even my calendar is completely covered with everything I did each day. I am a journal person. But yay that you don't need the help anymore! good for you!
  • Going to try this once my PB2 gets here! I bought it through Vitacost.
  • Shoes, I don't want to hurt my ankles and I fee like if I landed wrong from anything, even a jumping jack, that I could hurt myself. Is the risk worth not taking the time to tie laces? I hate wearing sneakers by the way. I own them just for my workouts, then they go right back in my workout basket!
  • I do two 40 minute workouts (give or take). One is a jillian michael's DVD and one is EA Active thought the Wii. And I track them with my heart rate monitor. It's a polar ft4. I get a great workout between the two! With the 1360 I haven't been losing anything. I tried upping my calories about 2 months back and I didn't…
  • So I am tired of not losing weight, so this week I am trying to do more cardio, less with weights... I plan to do this multiple times this week: "Running w/Sports" Heel lifts Knee tucks Rainbow squats Soccer running Soccer heading Soccer juggling Boxing combo 1 Soccer running Soccer heading Soccer juggling Boxing combo 2…
