Hello, my name is Martha. I have about 60lbs to lose. Due to injuries and having my gallbladder removed my metabolism is MIA... looking for support/friends with similar goals. I also have a fitbit and do challenges with that group. :smile:

I'm in the same boat! I'm eating healthier than I have my whole life (minus last week b/c I was on vacation - oops!) . I can't seem to get out of the 200's. I'm not afraid to lose it - I NEED to lose it.... feel free to ad me. :-) Lets do this!

We don't eat out much, but we are both overweight. I'm trying to lose it, but he doesn't seem to care. it is REALLY hard when he comes home from work and sits next to me eating a WHOLE Box of cookies while I'm trying to choke down some fruit/veggies! Like seriously?! He knows I LOVE junk food... it tastes so much better…

I'm close..... but I ended up going about it accidently... got my jaw wired shut and have to blenderise everything! Lost 8lbs in 3 weeks!

I could write a cookbook for this!! The little book the docs gave me with ideas didn't help lol. I just have no idea how to go about getting it published...?

Thanks! I've upgraded to ensure, milk & cottage cheese blended together, and soup. Plus water and juices.

make sure you are getting your electrolytes in if you are drinking excess water. you need the sodium/potassium to balance the water or you will have health issues -- but this is only if you are an athlete and REALLY drinking water after sweating a lot. how much are we talking?

I like the double chocolate s.k. protien bars - but instead of eating them as a meal I try to just sub them in instead of the regular candy bar I used to eat every day...

I've found a "healthier" but still tasty version of a cupcake. I take a box of dark chocolate cake mix and a can of pumpkin and mix only those together. Then i add walnuts. put in muffin cups and bake. I'm a chocloholic and these help curb my craving. You don't taste the pumpkin.

Thanks!!! I will have to try these ideas. :smile: I got a can of Great Northern Beans, rinsed them, and put them in a breakfast burrito the other day, which was yummy. They didn't have much of a flavor, so I didn't really notice them.

Hey All - I just joined the group. :-) I ride in western pleasure/equitation competitions. For exercises I like to do patterns with cones or serpentines, kinda keeps my boy on his toes instead of assuming he knows what I want to do. hehe.

What are your thoughts on the fitbit vs using this site and a pedometer? I just read a little bit about it, but am still kind of in the dark. I'm trying to lose weight/get in better shape, but it is hard to pass by the chocolate.
