Hubby had this problem during marathon training, found that waiting a bit after waking did the trick. He would take an hour or so for coffee to kick in, go to the bathroom, THEN do his runs.

I agree that must be frustrating. How well are you eating? Maybe if you opened your diary so we could see the quality of the foods you are consuming.

And make sure you are not running too fast! Make new runners think they have to hard charge it from the get go. Take you time to warm up, and let your body get used to running. Good Luck.

I also use Body Fortress Whey Protein (vanilla), most mornings I mix the powder, Greek yogurt, and frozen fruit for a quick breakfast.

I do P90X Classic. On the weekends I add in extra cardio.

For week 2 I was able to complete everything except I was 2 miles short on my goal. Only walked 10 vs. 12. As far as macros: I pay attention to fat, carbs,sodium,and protein. I think the numbers MFP sets for us are a bit off since I try and have lower carbs and higher protein since I do P90X. As far as sugar goes I try to…

@Molly- the milk, powder, and coffee sounds good! I have one for breakfast/post workout every morning. With a scoop of powder, organic Greek yogurt, fruit,and splash of milk I manage around 30 grams of protein. I don't enjoy the pre-made shakes.

Real all the way. I have tried the liquid once but the ingredient list made me dump them! Stick with real food whenever you can!

Some of the items I usually bring: a turkey sandwich on either a lo-cal sandwich round or one of La Tortillas High Fiber tortillas piece of fruit string cheese Salad w/ dressing leftovers from previous nights dinner cheese and crackers yogurt w/ granola. cut up veggies with hummus water, water, water...... :)
