If it makes you feel any better, here in Southern California we just had a winter storm... and it was terrible! 2 days of rain and now the sun is peeking out but it is freezing (about 60 degrees). =P I guess no matter where you are....there will always be something to complain about.

My go to snack is usually hummus with carrots and/or cucumbers. So refreshing seems to curb my savory cravings. Also, a nice non-fat greek yogurt with some berries or a touch of honey for when I am craving something sweeter.

Wow, congrats on your progress. You look great!

Check out the fun bags on that hose hound.... Yeah, he must work out.

Frozen Garlic Naan is TO DIE FOR! Polenta Provencale with spinach and peas (also frozen) Butternut Squash Gratin with Creamed Spinach Gratin I could literally eat these 3 things every day for the rest of my life.

I have the Mirena IUD and I love it. I did not have a cycle for a looooooong time before getting on it. My doc said it is great because you get progesterone but don't necessarily have to have a monthy cylce. Since I have been on it I now have a regular cycle. I haven't noticed any side effects. Only thing is it took me…

Someone posted a thread a few days ago saying that Spearmint tea helps with the hair. I have looked into it and found a lot of PCOS sites and people with excessive hair in general raving about it. I bought some so I can try it out as well. Maybe you should look into it.

I haven't tried the hair/skin/nail vitamins. To be honest I have been oily for as long as I remembered so I never realized that was a PCOS symptom. I just assumed I had oily skin and I had to deal with it. The fall out has been significant since I had my son 5 years ago....but everyone would tell me that happens after you…

Do you think this would work for me too? I don't have any itchiness but my scalp is VERY oily and I have been experience significant fall out from my hair.
-
Thanks for the tip! I will have to try the spearmint tea. Hopefully it works for me as I feel like my hirsutism is the worst ever!

I've never heard of this but I am interested in trying it out. Is Napa Valley Nutritionals the only place that sells it?

Congrats! Very inspirational.

Tandori Chicken or Saag Paneer I imagine shouldn't be too bad . Just steer clear of naan and rice. But I definitely think you should just eat what you'd like (without over-doing it of course). It's ok to treat yourself every once in a while.

I usually hate Kraft's dressings but I am in love with the Kraft Toasted Sesame Lite Anything Dressing. So yummy and only 50 cals /2tbsp

You can do this! I am 30 and have PCOS also. When I first started MFP I thought I wasn't going to get anywhere but I lost 30 lbs fairly easily and now I am out to lose 30 more and I will be at a place where I am satisfied. Take baby steps. Log EVERYTHING! Even if it is a Big Mac that you know you should not be having. But…

Those look really tasty and easy. I'll have to try it. Thanks for sharing.

Wow you look great. Congrats. I hope I am as lucky as you in the excess skin dept when I hit my goal weight.

^^ I totally agree. You can make eating healthy not be expensive. It's about shopping smart. I buy most of my fruits and veggies frozen-they last longer and are always ready when I need them. Chicken and fish is a great protein and fairly cheap. We are not "lying thru our teeth." We pay attention to what we buy. Spinach,…

I make sure I am eating something about every 2 hours. Breakfast at 8, snack at 10, lunch 12, snack 2 and then I have a gap until my dinner. I try and stick with a fruit or veggie and some hummus for my snacks and either oatmeal or toast with peanut butter/fruit for breakfast. Typically my snacks are about 200 cals, my…

You look great! I agree 119 may look a lil too thin for you but if you can get there go for it. I will add you for encouragement as we are similar height/goal. Good luck on the rest of your journey.

I eat between 1200-1500 a day and I am always snacking. Never hungry. I eat brakfast-snack-lunch-snack-dinner. I eat about every 2 hours except longer between my last snack and dinner. If i excercise I have another snack before/after dinner. I also drink plenty of water. It really depends on what you are eating that makes…
