  • I remember thinking I found gold when I first tasted it. It was in a 12 pack of cans, the only way I could buy it then. Later i did see it in a large 2 liter bottle but it was not on my store shelf all the time. I usually only see the regular grade product. It may not have a ton of nutrition but it is better than a lot of…
  • I have used it for 2 years with a few periods of being off it. I would say it was very effective for me. There is nothing magic about it but it will help you with your desire to eat. It cuts that a significant amount. Drawbacks are you should be checked frequently with an ekg and echocardiogram to make sure no heart damage…
  • I see nothing wrong with you wearing whatever pleases you. Your doing the hard work trying to lose some weight. The only person you really need to ask is yourself. Just go for it an enjoy yourself. I never worry about what other's think. It could be good or bad, you may never know... don't worry about it at all.…
  • The fruit cups actually are more on the sweet side as far as taste goes. Try one out, there is a mandarin orange thats really good too.

  • I am no expert, sorry but I do start my day almost always with a glass of Pink Grapefruit juice. I also sometimes have one of those Dole Fruit natural cups, like pink grapefruit, etc. They are pretty good and get your system cranked up. I have it before I start my exercise. Hope it helps.. Dan

  • I like them but note the word like, not read as 'need'. My Cardiologist who is my Dr. of Weights, says they are so dense they have a lot of calories and the carbs may make you hungry. She says an english muffin is a better choice. I think the bagel is ok, just not every day like I was doing. I try to have it only a few…
  • I could be the President of this club. I have the credentials to prove it. LOL. I have been going way over my limit a lot lately. Now I sit pretty stuffed feeling a little guilty (don't do this all the time) but I know I could have eaten about half what I did for dinner. To make matters worse I have been having trouble…

  • Melanie, your doing great. I am reminded of the old Chinese Proverb: Better to drag jeans, then bust at seams! I've needed to replace mine a couple of times already. I know exactly what you mean. I have a nice leather jacket that I remember being tight on me 2 years ago, now I am swimming in it! Enjoy Easter Day.…

  • Not sure how to record it, (I think your choice is close). I do enjoy watching him. He is awesome! He makes it look so easy, even if you can't do it all, he is an inspiration and is uplifting to your mood. I usually just do hand weights while watching him, no matter what he is doing. Enjoy the Show. Dan
  • I hear you 100%. It's hard no matter how you cut it, but I would recommend some regular exercise. It's not easy but its possible. I manage to walk 4 to 5 miles EVERY day. There is the occasional blip due to really bad weather (and lately its been inside treadmill action) but if you can dedicate say an hour a day to it, you…
  • I'd be happy to try and help you. I am here almost every day. 120 lbs down for me so far. Stick with me and we can slay the beast! Feel free to add me as a friend. Take Care.... Dan
  • I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today - Whimpy I thought I was king of the midnight snackers!! I work a 4 day week and I don't get home till after 1 AM. The last thing I want to do is go to bed hungry. I used to count the (midnight meal) as a snack on the previous day, but lately I have been adding it as a…

  • I haven't tried the bacon from Whole Foods you suggested but it sounds like it may work for some. I usually get Oscar Mayer Thick Cut bacon. It tastes really good and the nutritional info I saw wasn't too bad. I have a tip for all bacon lovers. When I cook it and its draining on paper towels I always break off all the…

  • We are each individuals. Some a little taller than others, some heavier, etc. The comment was the childs way of saying they noticed you as being different from their mental concept of normal or average. They did a comparison with their mental view of normal and reported they found something different. Instead of hearing "…
  • Hello Tina: I saw your post and wanted to say hi! I am sure you will find this site useful in many ways. The food log is a great tool and the best advice I can give you is try to remember to log your food each day. I am guilty of letting a couple days pass before trying to remember what I ate and when. Feel free to add me…
  • I weigh myself in the morning before eating or drinking anything, and before exercising. I write the reading down along with my blood pressure. This is my daily reading and its the one I count as official. After 1 1/2 hours of exercise I find my weight will drop as much as 4 pounds depending on how hot it is when I walk.…
  • Keep up the good work! I am just getting started on this system. One of my Doctors recommended this website to help me track my food consumption. It seems to be a nice system. Prior to this I managed to lose 100 pounds on my own by watching what I ate and walking every day. Currently, I walk 4 to 5 miles per day, every…
