people who:* don't know the difference between "bring" and "take" and use them wrong ALL THE TIME; * don't know when to use "number" and "amount" and use them wrong ALL THE TIME; * say "axe" when they mean "ask"; * don't know when to use "less" and "fewer" and use them wrong ALL THE TIME; * say "I could care less" when…

Interesting that this article has been posted twice in the forums with NO conversation, comments, discussion. Since it is a logical well thought out argument which states the way fitness pal works may not be the right way, you would have thought there would be some discussion.

fries and fudge, bad choices. how about a 500 calories of white sugar vs 500 calories of vegetable oil. Will one cause more weight gain than the other?

when you mix tea into water you are not creating a chemical reaction, just a solution which is easily separated back to the original parts. A chemical reaction actually does changes one thing into another. When you mix 2 H with 1 O properly, you do change it into H2O and the hydrogen does not really exist anymore except as…

You forgot wipe and wash your hands. That is the real cleansing part

Urban Legend http://www.snopes.com/horrors/poison/halloween.asp So why post the question?

this is a very very old story. 2004 at least

I recommend a new nutritionist. One who has read up on nutrition, biology, and is not relying on 20 year old propaganda from water companies.

Is there any scientific evidence for this? Unless we are all eating mercury filled fish, the body deals fine with products in the air and water. Just because it is in a cleaning product does not make it a toxin. Just because it is called a chemical does not make it bad. Water is a chemical. Vitamin C is a chemical…

Is it narrow mindedness to believe that the world is round when some think it is flat? Is it narrow mindedness to believe that going out in chilly weather does not cause you to catch cold when your mother says it does?

No NO That DiHydrogen Monoxide stuff can kill you. I read it on a web page so it must be true!

Just because you don't like the answer does not mean that people are being mean to you. Perhaps they are trying to help you avoid the cost of a useless "process" or product. Perhaps the fact that you ask about detoxifying your body without any other information leads people to misinterpret your question. Telling someone to…

Talk to your family doctor about the myths of detoxing and have her explain how the human body works.

Do you feel like you are banging your head against a brick wall? I cannot believe the myths, lies, and misunderstandings on here, the worst being from people who claim to be in the medical profession. I think they teach this garbage in medical school. Links to real research (not dr oz, not weight watchers, not oprah) but…

Now we are going in circles. We had the water is a chemical (which it is) debate back on page 4 or 5 ;)

must admit I have never drunk or seen moonshine. If it is 190 proof, then it is 95% alcohol. If you are drinking that I think dehydration is the least of your problems :)

moonshine is mostly water. 80 proof is 60% water. But because of the high calorie count it is probably not a water substitute. The mix, however is.

but the base of pop and coffee IS water!!

I believe this conversation thread could be a sequel to this movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/

Please read the entire post. Coffee does not dehydrate if you are a regular drinker of it. I can provide peer reviewed papers to explain if necessary. All liquids hydrate.

You probably have to explain what an aquifer is. use "well" and the people here will probably understand that better.

I would count tonic water as pop as it has 90 calories in a 8 oz can of Canada Dry Tonic Water.

The water in my diet coke came out of a tap. The tap may be in Atlanta or Mississauga, but it is tap water. and tap water is not H2O only. It has fluorides, salts, chloramines, etc.

'Cause I'm old :)
