I am 5'3 and when I started about a month ago I was 213. My calories according MFP is over 2000 but I was not losing weight so I started eating between 1200 & 1300 calories a day and I am now down to 207. I think it is according to the person.

The MFP website is a great place to be to get the weight off and start eating healthy. Ihave been on here for 2 weeks now and I love it. It keeps me on my toes about what I am eating and how much and it also keeps me motivated to move

I try to eat my last meal beteen 3&5P.M. Sometimes it doesn't happen that way and then I have a graham cracker or 2 about 8 before I go to bed

I have a bad leg from a mva in '03 and I hurt sometimes (most) but I have found a yoga exercise video that helps me and as far as comfort eating I also can understand that I have done that all my life and I recommend that you eat veggies and fruit or something like that. Hope this helps.

I make a chicken salad boil your chicken and then cut it up in a bowl and put mayo, sweet relish and you can eat it with crackers or bread.

I have dranked diet coke and diet dp for years and I drink 16oz a day but starting today I am going to try and give them up. I am going to trade my cokes for lemon water because I read on the net today where lemon water helps with water retention. So I am giving it a whril to see how it goes

Welcome to the website. Today marks one week for me and at first I thought I couldn't really eat what I wanted but the first day I ate whatever I wanted and logged it and I also logged my exercise and when all was said and done I was still under my calories. Good Luck and keep trying because you don't fail unless you quit.

Hi Niki I also am a serious snacker, I found that if you chew gum it helps with the urge to snack at first it is HARD but you can do it.

I think it is great that you have realized your problem and are trying to do something about it. I was overweight when I was your age but never do anything about it. I am now in my late 30's and just now trying to do something about it. Try eating your last meal 3hrs before you go to bed and eat healthier.
