Hey there and welcome!! Good luck on your journey! :)

I don't know much about heart rate monitors, but if you're creating a caloric deficit through eating and exercise you are going to lose "fat" or weight.

Wow! That's awesome progress! I've been meaning to start 30DS for a few days now and your results are really inspiring! Here I come Jillian...

I would really really really like to lose 30lbs before heading back to school in late August. 20 would be great too. I just want to make a dent and change my habits so that I can continue losing once I go back to school.

bumping for reference!

i've tried weight watchers before and I agree with the idea that it's just a different way of counting calories. But the meetings can be really helpful! It's nice to meet with people and share your successes and pitfalls. I think it's a great support system but the program itself isn't really anything special.

I hope to get down to 160 over the summer and I think that's reasonable. That's like 30 lbs? Maybe it's not? I also would just really like to look good in my work swimsuit (also a lifeguard).

I eat plain greek yogurt because the fruit varieties tend to pack on extra calories and I usually buy Oikos because it's cheaper in my grocery store in the larger containers.

Get professional spray tan or use that Jergens healthy glow lotion. Anything else and you're putting yourself at risk for skin cancer. :/

Hi! Everyone has to begin somewhere and I think the best way to get you going is just to start moving. Gym memberships are expensive but try doing a fast walk or jog around town or a park or something while listening to music. Something more intense would be running up and down stairs. Look up on youtube some fitness or…

Yes! Have one! Be mindful of your calories or have one on a spike day. Go to the gym beforehand or something. You can totally work it in. :drinker: And now I totally want a burrito. Sigh. Too bad the closest Chipotle is 2 hours away otherwise that succulent creature would be in my belly.

Wow! Thank you guys so much! :flowerforyou: I'll definitely try chewing gum and making tea!

Harney and Sons has some great herbal teas! Lately I've been hooked on "African Autumn" and "Raspberry" and they're both pretty fruity so I sometimes add a squeeze of honey and sometimes I don't. :)

bump! I'd love to try making this!

Sometimes I'll eat something I know is higher cal (carrot cake is my weakness) and then try to make sure to exercise it off or be careful with my calories the rest of the day. Smoothies can be a nice treat as a substitute for milkshakes and stuff. I also try to keep in mind that MFP caloric deficit is a weekly total and…

Yeah he's being a turd. Maybe you can cook together and try to make stuff you'd both? You're definitely not being a bad wife.
