  • It's not going to matter what anyone says on this board if you have found yourself in the dark place of dieting obsession. I can tell you from personal experience that even if you hit 110lbs it won't be enough because you will probably panic once you see the scale fluctuate just a bit. Chasing a number that you think will…
  • Finding self control with food can be very difficult. If you find that you are over eating try taking a moment to think why. Perhaps you tend to take potions that are too big and eat them too quickly. This won't give your body a chance to feel full before it's too late! Or maybe you over indulge due to boredom....once you…
  • I have a jawbone UP24 I totally <3 it, which is compatible with MFP. I suggest taking a look at the recommended apps that sync with MFP and picking one to avoid confusion. The only app I use is mapmyfitness. It allows you to customize which type of work out you do(it has a HUGE variety), I love it! And since I only have…
  • If you click on settings you can update your diet/fitness profile. You can adjust your current weight/height/goal weight and then choose the best category for your normal daily activities. Based on the rest of your goals MFP will generate a healthy calorie goal for you per day. I don't know anything about the garmin…

  • The food you chose to eat has very little nutritional value. You're counting calories but still being harmful to yourself in other ways. Also, even though you consume the allotted calorie amount you really don't eat much for the entire day so you may be inadvertently slowing your metabolism down. I would try changing your…
  • I usually reach for a rice cake with a tablespoon of crunchy peanut butter! Or a handful of fresh blueberries, great slow acting carb so you won't be starving first thing in the morning either!
  • May sound like silly advice...but you need to eat MORE! Try 6 small healthy meals a day, once your body realizes its no longer being deprived of nutrients it will begin to regain a metabolism and burn off what you eat instead of sitting stagnant in your fat cells for fuel. Also if you work out be sure to eat back what your…
  • You don't track your sugar intake. Based on what I was reading from your log, your intake is far too high. When you consume too much sugar or carbs which break down into sugar once its processed, your body ends up storing the sugar in your fat cell instead of using it as energy. This makes it much more for difficult for…
  • Yes, I do. Right now nothing too extreme just light jogs here and there but most strength building.
  • I'm a merchandiser! I'm on my feet for 7+ hrs and I lift heavy boxes and all sorts of stuff not to mention a lot of walking, but at a slower pace, I felt like it would be considered lightly active.
  • I go big or go home. I do not eat out and if I do I will enjoy it to the fullest even if it's not within my typical diet. No restrictions for me, just complete moderation.
  • I <3 Chia seeds!! this is a great link http://wellnessmama.com/4981/10-uses-for-chia-seeds/

  • Yes! You totally lost inches around your waist! Awesome job!
  • I think you might lose some weight...but you would be completely malnourished and probably feel like crap!
  • After taking a peek at your diary, it looks like you just eat a lot of processed foods and sugars. And unless you aren't logging everything you aren't taking in enough calories either. Taking days off also will hurt you and you will constantly be stuck in a yo-yo diet pattern with little to no results.
  • You do get more nutrients from juicing because you're drinking multiple vegetables and fruits that you normally wouldn't do on a regular basis.
  • I agree with everything that has been said so far. The main reason you "earn" calories is because you "burn" them. You need to eat more to maintain your daily goal because every work out you do depletes nutrients from your body. Eventually the low amount of calories you take in with being to take affect and become far more…
  • Everyone hits a wall sometimes, try not to get discouraged!! I would be mindful of any processed white refined sugars and carbs. Even though you have been keeping a close eye on your calorie intake you really need to focus on sugars and carbs intake as well. Both of these break down in your system and turn into fat. I…
  • HI! My long term boyfriend doesn't support my desire to change either. It's really difficult being in a relationship with someone who doesn't support weight loss.
  • Congratulations on your weight loss, you look amazing!
  • I just joined this site tonight. I found the app on my cell phone and was using it rather successfully! But Then I stopped...my boyfriend told me I didn't need to be watching my weight, but we've been together for four years and I've gained 25 maybe even more pounds....big surprise he hasn't gained a thing. I look bad a…
