I mix it with tahini, garlic, and lemon juice. Makes a yummy dip for veggies and whole wheat crackers.

I did not nuke the cauliflower first. It turns out great just adding it raw to the cheese. This is one of my favorite low cal recipes!

I like to make Mango Salsa - 1 Diced mango, 1 Can Black Beans, Chopped Red onion, Lime Juice, Cilantro. You can eat it as a side dish or if you leave out the black beans it is greaaaaat on grilled chicken.

Sounds like you are doing great. I have lost a little over 5 lbs per month. I am 50 years old so I am happy to lose at that rate. Keep up the good work!!

Welcome - I started with MFP in August 2010 and love it. I have lost 28lbs so far and even lost thru the Holidays. I turned 50 in September which was also my motivation to get healthy. At 50, I feel better and look better than I have in a long, long time. This is a great place for support. Feel free to add me as a friend.

Hi - I would love to join - I am 5' 2" and have struggled with weight my whole life. I have always felt if I could just be stretched out a few more inches taller that my weight would not be a problem - Oh Well :( At least I did really good over the Thanksgiving week and lost 3lbs. I went to Thanksgiving Dinner planning to…

Thanks for all the input - Maybe after my soreness goes away I will give it another try. It seems like everyone that does it really really loves it (my sister included).

I am at 1200 calories a day and at first it did seem to low but I have learned to eat low calorie choices so I can eat more. I usually eat 3 meals and have enough left for a snack at night. I also make sure to exercise everyday so I can have more to eat. I usually eat most of my exercise calories and I am still losing.

I love the bagel thins and sandwich thins. I eat one every morning toasted with 1 tbsp. peanut butter. The sprouted bread is also very yummy. Ezekiel has a cinnamon raisin sprouted bread that is also great.

I slice my zucchini into rounds - spray with a little Pam spray and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake in oven until just a little browned - yum yum.

where do you get virgin coconut oil? Sounds great.

Gotta try some of these - they look goooooooood!

I love love love my digital scale and would recommend everyone to have one. It is worth the small investment. I got mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond. 29.99 less 10.00 coupon. 19.99 and well worth it.

Welcome to MFP. This is a great place for support and motivation. I will be 50 next week and also realized I do not want to go into my fifties overweight and unhealthy. This time I can do it and so can you. Best of luck to you and I'm sending you a friend request.

Thanks everyone - I had them for dinner - I put roasted grape tomatoes and roasted garlic with fresh basil. I used the angel hair and boiled them for 3 minutes. They were a little rubbery but I cut them into small bites and it wasn't to bad. I will most likely try again.

I go over my sugar everyday - I eat a lot of fruit also. I think as long as it is coming from fruit and you are still losing then keep doing what your doing.
