Lately I've been doing a hill program on the elliptial and I do 1 minute as fast and hard as I can then 1 minute more relaxed. I do it for 30 minutes and burn loads more calories (according to my hrm) than I normally would in those 30 minutes.

I start week 4 tomorrow and I'm scared (have to run a whole 5 minutes). I actually hurt myself on week 3 because I was trying too hard. Focus on just getting through it. Don't push yourself to go fast. My plan is to complete it and then start over on day 1 to focus more on speed. But don't worry about it taking longer than…

I completely understand. With the way the world is changing, you have to be prepared. My husband is in law enforcement and he's been nagging me for a while to get my conceal and carry. I haven't started running outside yet, it's still too cold in kansas, but once I do, I will need these tips. Thanks for posting this.

I got a weight watchers one from bed bath and beyond. It ended up being $25. I had a 20% off coupon (you can find them online just google it) It's glass and you can set it to your age and height. Then it will tell you bmi, bf%, % of water and % of bone mass.

I fit on the back of my hubby's motorcycle sooo much better!! And my butt doesn't start to hurt after just 30 minutes on it! lol

I used the 5 day walk plan for my first 6 months of working out. At first I about died doing the 5 mile. Now the 5 mile is my fave! I lost about 55 lbs doing just Leslie and dieting. I had to switch things up because with miles 1-3 I don't even break a sweat anymore. It's a great way to start out. Plus you burn at least…

I wish. My dog gets distracted too easily.

Mine has been normal as long as I stay on the pill. I stopped taking it for a few months while my hubby was away for Army training and the first month it was 2 weeks late and then extremely heavy once it finally came.
-
That's why I'm here as well. 40-50 lbs left to go!
-
I'm in. I have 40 to lose so this 20 will be my half way mark! Anyone can add me if they would like

I can't even imagine eating 2000 calories per day. This is going to be tough
-
I normally don't drink much. It was my birthday tho lol

When I was losing all the weight I was eating right at 1200 and working out- just not to the extent I am now. My hubby was away at basic so I was stressed and had to force myself to eat that much. Somedays I would eat a big mac meal and that would be it for the day. I know there are healthier ways of getting 1200 calories,…

Thanks everyone! It sounds scary to me, but I'm going to try and eat more. It can't be hard since eating is what got me here to begin with lol. I'm also going to add in weight lifting. Hopefully this works!

This video is just a 2 mile walking video. It really is nothing. I don't even break a sweat doing it anymore.

I love cardio it'll be hard for me to give some up. I'm also scared of the weight room. Too many big scary guys in there lol. I've learned over the lsat week how to use a few of the machines so I can def work that in to my schedule.

Height 5'6. Weight is 195, it was 256 I've come a long way, but not long enough. Just turned 23 a few days ago! I have a fancy scale that says my bf% is 31, not sure if thats correct or not.

I started this a couple weeks ago. I restarted 30 DS this weekend because I got distracted last time and didn't make it past level 1. And I'm on week 3 of c25k.

I have thought about upping my calories but it makes me nervous. I'm afraid I'll try it for too long and gain a bunch of weight back. How long should I try it to see if it works? Would a week be long enough?
-
Honestly, I don't feel like I have time to go longer. Between my morning video and my eveing trip to the gym, that adds up to 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, the other 2 days its 45 minutes. It just sounds like that should be enough. Maybe I'm wrong? I even got a heart rate monitor to track the calories burned more…

anyone?

Aim for smaller goals. For example, aim for 30 lbs. Once you get there set another goal. Wanting to lose a large amount of weight right in the beginning can be over whelming. If you feel like you're too far away you're more likely to just give up. Stay motivated and take baby steps. I started out at 256. It took me 1 yr…

I started a few weeks ago, but I missed days and whatnot. So I would like to join. I'm starting over! The first couple days are soooo hard but don't give up. It gets easier!

I made this sunday night. My husband just loved it! I wasn't crazy about it tho.

I'm Lindsie from Kansas. I'm 22. I'm on day 2 of 30 day shred. I decided I wanted to get healthy Feb 27, 2012. Starting weight 256. Today I'm 199!! I call it oneunderland! I would like to get to 150, but my goal right now is 170. Anyone can add me if they would like. I need more friends for motivation.

I finished day 2 level 1 last night. My legs and abs are killing me today. So I'm taking today off and just doing my normal Leslie Sansone video. I will pick back up tomorrow tho! Day 2 was def easier than day 1.
-
I had the same problem. So I gave up, stopped exercising dieting, trying all together from Sept til Dec. I gained 5 lbs back and picked back up at the end of Jan and been dropping about 3 lbs per week since then. Maybe give your body a break.

I did 2 days and a row and I'm taking today off. My body needs a rest day from it. I'll still do cardio though. I'm scared to do it before work because of how sore I am, so far I've done it right before bed and it def makes me sleep better. I might stick with that for now. Some people do it the whole 30 days in a row, but…
