  • Hello there. I have a daugher with Ehlers-Danlos...I've not been properly tested, but I'm pretty sure it comes from me. I have the chronic fatigue, arthritis, myalgias, pernicious anemia, thoracic outlet syndrome, and a variety of other annoyances. I've found that low impact exercises, such as yoga, and a diet low in (yup,…
  • Hi Amy! I hope you find MFP to be a great tool in your journey. I love it. In 2012 I lost 60 lbs...then thought I could manage on my own and gained it back (I had an injury that put me down for a bit too) I've been back since April 5th, and I'm down 20...Feel free to add me. Good luck :)
  • Welcome back! Added :) I'm right there with you as far as being more active and healthy. I spend 95% of my day behind a desk, so it didn't take long for the lbs to creep up. You can do this! :)
  • Hi Dawn. Feel free to add me. I'm 34, 5'2, with 2 girls. I'm heavier, 195, but understand the stuggles of trying to get eating habits and exercise under control. Best wishes
  • Feel free to add me. :)
  • I eliminated gluten and dairy for my daughter (Hashimotos) and it reduced her flares, she lost weight and had more energy. My goal is to also eliminate these from my diet to see if it will help me. I had a holistic dr. tell me that gluten and dairy contain inflammatory agents (don't know if that's true, but sounded like…
  • Hello Everyone! I was diagnosed in 2011 with Pernicious Anemia (autoimmune B12 deficiency). Years of not being diagnosed lead to more problems, such as chronic fatigue, ulcers and nerve damage. I also have degenerative disc disease, thoracic outlet syndrome, on and on… And I have a daughter with Hashimoto’s If you are…
  • Welcome! Sent a FR :)
  • Oh wow, I sure didn't mean to bring this thread back into current feeds so people can be rude. I thought MFP forums were here for encouragement & advice?? I personally do not take antibiotics because of research I have done on them. But that's my thing and I don't encourage others to take the same stand but to educate…
  • @4theking How are things going? I take DE as well and love the changes I've seen (and yes, if you drink from a well, use public toliets, have pets ect...you are at risk of having parisites. They are more common than what people think or want to believe). Feel free to PM me about your experience! I love to hear real results…
  • This is an older thread, but I wanted to share that I have used DE (food grade) for several months now. I have decreased cravings, increased energy, my joints hurt less (I have several things going on that cause a lot of pain and fatigue) my nails are longer, my hair is growing faster, my digestion problems have decreased…
  • Visit the site in a web browser at http://www.myfitnesspal.com. Click the "Apps" tab, then in the sub-tab click "Tickers." Click "Update your weight data" Enter a new starting weight, then click "Save Changes." Im a little late, but thought this might help someone else...here's how you do it without deleting/adding…
  • I keep a stash of chocolate in my office...and in my bedroom, and hidden in my closet. I've been good lately, but it's there, just in case.

  • Hi @wensters! Welcome to MFP! In 2012 this site helped me lose 60lbs. I've since quit logging, and wouldn't ya know...gained it all back. I have the plantars fascititis too...no fun, at all. I use a golf ball at night before I go to bed, roll it around on the bottom of my foot, then I stretch it out before I get out of bed…
  • SashaMaja, I completely understand. I have several autoimmune and other disorders that keep me in pain. Whenever I am over active, my body can't carry enough oxygen back to my muscles fast enough...so I spend several days down. I eat good, most of the time, but when I don't feel like cooking, I pop something in the…
  • Hello Everyone!!! I'm from Mt. Vernon (between Springfield and Joplin). So great to see some fellow Missourians. Wishing you all success on your journey to a healthier lifestyle!
  • I can totally relate. It's hard. I was coming home at 8pm some nights from work and cooking two meals. He's told me a few times that my new "obsession with exercise" is taking away time from him and our girls (I normally exercise at 11pm...so this was not even a valid argument). He brings in soda's, snack cakes,…
  • Welcome fellow Missourian...you are in the right place. MFP is for support for ANYONE who wants to get fit. We all have that in common, no matter what our situation/weight is. I agree with SoySalva..."follow the plan and you will lose weight." I didn't think I could do this when I joined, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Feel free…
  • It's pretty hit and miss for me. Sometimes I'm lucky and either my husband or my oldest will cook dinner, or they will put the toddler to bed to let me have some time to exercise. I try to utilize my lunch break for at least a 15 min. walk. Hang in there, you will find a routine that will work for you.
  • I hear ya! Sometimes the more I find that I am trying to not eat as much, the more I eat because I feel like I am depriving myself. So I am finding tricks to make me feel satisfied and less guilty. For instance, a bag of popcorn (no butter) isn't that bad on the calorie side...and I can eat the entire thing!! LOL. You'll…
  • Feel free to add me. I think that it is important to have people behind you who understand what you are going through.
  • :flowerforyou: Feel free to add me. I think that this site is so much more useful when you have others who are cheering you on.
  • I think that I have something in common with everyone on this site...to loose or maintain weight. I like to have people who are motivational as friends, but I will accept anyone because I want to be a good motivator to them. Strenght in numbers is my moto!
  • Feed Store clerk....I loved and learned so much from that job! :)
  • Great Job! I love Zumba...it's so fun and energizing. I have the dvd's...but I think that the gym experience would be so amazing!
  • Please feel free to add me. I believe that strength comes in numbers. My goal is to lose at least 50lbs...at least. iamseashell ...I don't have Lupas and cannot say that I understand completly, but I do have medical set backs that tend to make me advoid exercise. If you would like to add me also, please feel free to. WE GOT…
  • I'm 5'3" and am aiming for 155. I am currently 214, and I have been 155 before, and enjoyed the confidence and freedom that I felt then. Once I get there, or get close, I might try for 130. I don't want to do it too quickly, because I don't want to hear that I look unhealthy from family and friends and loose the…
  • Hi, I've been logging since Feb. 17. I'm not really at the diet stage yet, I'm doing this to start only show my physician what I am doing, then we are going to work out a plan and I plan to stick to MFP. Your right...it does put it right there in your face and it gives you some real "Ah Ha" moments. I am a mother of 2…
