  • If you use the NEAT method (this is what MFP uses) then you would eat the 1335 plus your exercise calories. The NEAT method already has a caloric deficit built in so you are suppose to eat the exercise calories back to avoid to large of a deficit. Calorie burns are estimates and usually pretty high. That being said it is…
  • Greek yogurt is high in protein too. Some are high in sugar so chose wisely. Fage plain is a good one and you can add in fresh berries or do like I do and put oatmeal, chia seeds and fruit.. so yummy!
  • I can only shed my point of view. I did the HCG diet, I bought into the hype. I did so even when my husband begged and pleaded with me not to do it. But, I did the research I knew people doing it and they were losing. How could that be wrong? Then I woke up. Fortunately I only did one round. What woke me up was not wanting…
  • I approve all requests, If I find them to be a pain in the *kitten* or VLCD they get the boot.
  • thx ppl.. :) fr sent... any other advice is always welcome!
  • I just need feedback on my diary... I tend to forget fruit and veggie... I'm pretty good but I want more feedback other than wtg... or well done. My goal started out get skinny, its evolved to get fit. I don't want to get to my goal weight and have a bunch of fat still. Hope that makes sense.
  • Dislike the new layout, super creeped out by the dang red bar on my screen.
  • I have lap band. I lost 125lb and gained back 75lbs... Better to get back on track where you are now. Just like other stated, you have to still watch what you eat. I've known a few people who have had gastric bypass and have gained the weight plus some back. Glad you are taking steps to stop the gains.
  • I was given similar advice and have been eating close to 1500 calories and have been losing about a 1-2 lbs a week. Be warned everyone here has the magic formula. IMHO it's different for everyone. You will have people who disagree with this because you will be netting lower than 1200 calories (if you burn a lot of calories…
  • Will keep you posted. :)
  • I'm so sorry about your hair loss. I have my fingers crossed it doesn't come to that for me. I will be adding in biotin, and looking for a Dr. It has been just over a year since my last physical. It is due.
  • I go thru phases where I don't want fruit and veggies. I try to get something in there everyday. A few of my dinners like my bell pepper enchiladas have veggies in the recipe (I use the recipe builder). That is why I take a multivitamin, I know I'm not getting all my nutrients from food. I'm working on it.
  • My surgery was 2009, I did notice a small increase in hair loss, but I attributed it to the surgery. It resolved on it's own, and wasn't nearly like it is now. I would say after I shower and comb my hair I have lost at least 50 strands of hair.. As the day goes I will lose 3-5 at a time, multiple (5-6 if not more) times a…
  • None in my family, they all have full heads of hair (grey but hair).
  • Thanks everyone. Was hoping for an easy answer. Doesn't look like there is one. :)
  • I eat 1300-1500 calories depending on the day. On spluge days I'll eat more. I have a balance of 40% carbs 30% fat and 30% protein. I try to get as close to those numbers daily. I take a daily multivitamin. My diary is open, please feel free to give feedback. Know, the last 3 weeks have been bad, but the hair loss started…
  • I prefer to work out then eat.. It's a mental thing for me. I feel more productive if I have a semi empty stomach when I work out. Plus I'm always hungry after a workout. :)
  • We all knew you could do it, glad you also know you can! Congrats:flowerforyou:
  • Babe, you are rocking it!!! That is an amazing NSV!!
  • ^This, totally agree. Ironically what got me fired up and making my own thread like this was because I had done hCG. I've learned a lot and WONT be going there again. Slow and stead wins the race and will be the healthier one at the finish line. :)
  • I'm pretty sure we are just amusing ourselves now. The OP hasn't chimed in for a while... pretty sure she is over what we have to say. Either way, this thread brightened my day!
  • Bahaha, love it!!! :drinker:
  • I was going to point that out too, but didn't want to get classified as part of that 5%. The golden rule is One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself (wikipedia). That being said I followed the OP thread with no comments, there were snarky remarks but I believe as a few other indicated you left a…
  • Does anyone know of specific exercises that I can do to maybe strengthen my back and neck? My thought is that working the muscles more will help to keep the spine straight? I could be completely wrong just looking for help.
  • They smell awful when you take them out so yes, rinse and repeat.. If you are a texture person, you probably won't like the texture. They are funky! I didn't hate them, but didn't love them. I'd say you'd be better off making zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash even.
  • I don't run, NOT a pretty site. I've always been blessed in the chest area. Would hate for people to think my husband beats me. LOL, all kidding aside. I walk for most of my exercise I should use the elliptical I just die after 20 min. As far as form I'm doing the same exercises the trainer showed me my last weight loss go…
  • Thx babe, I keep saying I need to add in more yoga. I do stretch it, obviously not enough. I completely forgot about a tens machine, I will be looking for one immediately. When I was getting frequent adjustments from a Chiropractor I would get hooked up to one and felt great! My hubby is pretty good about the back rubs, so…
