I know this string is super old but was wondering if anyone is following the Potatoes not prozac method? Especially with COVID-19 I'm feeling the stress of working from home and know I am a sugar addict. Just looking for some support on MFP ;)

I love Beverly International UMP in either chocolate or cookies and cream. I prefer a thick creamy shake tho, so if you don't like that...don't try it :)

There is just no pleasing some people... You may as well just please yourself !!

Ouch, that hurts! I know. Take pride in the fact that you had already committed emotionally to taking care of you! She must have a bit of pain in her life to throw around careless comments like that so flippantly... You can use her misdirected pain to help fuel your weight loss! You might consider a note to her after you…

thanks for the great ideas everyone! Beverly International protein powder really doesn't need anything but I like to change it up occasionally with coconut milk, different extracts (caramel is my favorite) or pudding powder mix.

Fantastic tips - thanks!!

a few of my go-tos: Greek yogurt turkey slices on a Wasa crispbread smeared with laughing cow cheese-yum chocolate protein shake (I like six star triple chocolate from walmart)

I am actually sensitive to all those sweeteners even tho they are calorie free I tend to love the sweetness and consume too many! So moderation is my motto!

This is what works for me! I get 100 carbs a day mixed proportionately (spread over 5 meals) with 35 fat, and 135 protein to manage insulin. I try to never have more than 30grams of carbs in one sitting.
-
I eat/snack (every 3 hours) 5 x a day and 'try' to get 19g Carbs, 7g Fat, and 26g protein at each setting. So I love the Six Star triple chocolate elite whey protein powder from Walmart for the macro balance. In a pinch I can have it with just water - its that good and chocolatey. It's better with even a half cup of milk,…

I agree absolutely fantastic!

Hey there, I am doing the diet doc program and am having awesome success with it. Are you still doing it? Did you do it? I know this post is completely old but I just found it! I read the book last year and thought OH! I could never survive on that few calories...they are nuts!! Then I got to the point where NOTHING else…

Yeah I love the new Sync! not entering in 2 places is fantastic :)
-
Greys - So glad to hear you're having success!! What macro percentages are you doing?
-
how many carbs do you average a day? The reason i ask is because if you work out your body needs carbs to balance your macro-nutrients. Veggies and dairy are a graet best place to get your carbs anyway so it is actually helpful that you don't tolerate bread and pasta. How do you do with oatmeal or other grains?
-
Please let us know if you like using it from the phone!! I don't want to work out at home, I want to take it to the gym but want to make sure I can. thanks much!

Olives, olive oil, grape seed oil, canola oil, flax seed oil, pistachios, almonds, hazlenuts, sesame, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and any of those made into butter, pesto on spaghetti squash, sardines, anchovies, char, black cod, and halibut

Agreed, this is totally new information to me even though I started lowering my carbs almost 2 weeks ago... Coincidence? I think not :) I am constantly amazed by all I learn here from you fantastic people :) Many thanks!

I find cheese helps almost all veggies... Since I moved to fewer carbs I totally crave sugar less! The higher percentage of fat keeps me full longer too... I also raid the 'low carb' recipes online looking for small treats without sugar... There are lots out there Thanks for posting all this info, it is so gracious of you…

I actually reduced my (non fiber) carbs based on being stalled for a couple of months. I have friends who are cross-fit/paleo fans and they suggested my stall was insulin sensitivity related. I'm interested to read that body type theory and really any science around it :) I know I carry weight around my belly which I have…

I eat at cut when I take an exercise break just to keep the same amount of fuel going in my body. I find consistency is key for me. When I go on vacation I try to stay under TDEE (which includes regular exercise) since I am not exercising at my usual level. Hope that helps :)
-
Yes, you can lose weight without exercise. You must make sure your numbers are correct and it will likely take longer but it's possible.

This is a fantastic post! Thanks for sharing and confirming :) We are all here because life happens, we don't eat clean on occasion or we miss a few workouts but this path is so much more approachable than all the others.
-
Love it, count me in :) I'm doing NRL4W, currently on stage 3- which means I do 4.5 mins of low plank for each A workout. Having all of you join me is pain is simply fantastic !!!

WOW such great support already given, you guys are awesome!! I just want to add, LIFE HAPPENS :) We have to deal with it the best we can. Recognizing that you use food to comfort yourself is half the battle. You'll do better now because you know better. Eat clean and use exercise to clear your head instead of food to numb…

agreed, smaller cut, lift more, reshape your body to fit into the image/size you want and let go of the scale as a tool for measurement. Take pictures and by all means BATHE in the glory of what you have accomplished. You have done some incredible work! Let your body and mind catch up :) I lost and gained the same weight…

You are still under eating and over exercising... According to the scooby calculator - http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ - your bmr is 1841 so you would need to eat that PLUS your exercise calories back to stay above your bmr... If you can commit to it, try to net your BMR for a few weeks. You will be…
