  • congratulations! You have earned it! You look amazing! Your story is inspiring. I know first hand out difficult it is to lose weight and get healthy and you have earned a virtual hug and high five :)
  • i agree with other posts, you should be going everyday. I used to go only every 3 days and I started monitoriing my fiber intake and realized that was really low. Now I take in more fiber and I go every morning.
  • I get the same thing! I would be interested in knowing why as well.
  • I weigh myself every morning. It keeps me motivated as well. However, I do not record the weight every morning. I do an "official" weigh in once per week at the same time of day. That number decides whether I lost or gained or maintained. Additionally, I do measurements every 2 weeks when I do the official weigh in. I…
  • I've only run 1 marathon but plan to run many more :) My training currently consists of running 5 to 6 days a week, with one long run, one speed day, one moderately hard day (tempo run, hills runs, or something similar) and a couple easy maintenance days. For cross training, I usually do fitness classes. I try to make sure…
  • Definitely going to try this! Thanks!
  • I started eating "clean" several years ago and have not regretted it. I cook everything form scratch so that I know exactly what goes in it. I won't buy anything that has ingredients in it that I don't cook with, such as high fructose corn syrup or anything that sounds odd. I do not buy any prepackaged meals frozen or…
  • Wow! you look amazing! Great job!!!!
  • I feel the same way! Now that I eat fruits and veggies a lot, if for some reason I don't have a lot of them for a couple days, I actually start craving fruit instead of something unhealthy :)
  • wow! awesome job!!! You look amazing! :)

  • Everyday is a new day. You may have went over today but tomorrow you can start all over again. I treat every day as a separate day and try my best to stay within my goals. Definitely don't beat yourself up over going over your calories one day and not exercising one day. You'll get back on track tomorrow. Also, remember…
  • I always tell myself that it is mandatory to do at least 10 minutes of my planned workout and then if I still don't want to do it then I can stop. I find once I get warmed up that I can finish the workout no problem and am happy that I did :) Before a workout I usually have a banana and a tbsp of peanut butter (or almond…
  • If my body is craving something, I feel like there's a reason. So, I always give in to my cravings but in moderation. If I'm craving cookies (which I do regularly), I'll just eat one slowly. Usually I find it only takes a bite or a small serving to satisfy the craving. However, I have noticed the healthier I eat the more I…
  • After I lost 20 pounds, I donated all my fat clothes to goodwill. I figure I have pictures to remind me where I used to be. I didn't want clothes sitting around that I hope to never fit in again :) It felt so good to donate them too!
  • I am on prednisone as well. I have been on it for 2 months now (I'm in the taper off phase). I find that I sweat more and I was very hungry in the beginning when I was on the full dose! Now that I'm on a lesser dose I don't have the hunger issues. If you are only on it for 7 days, I doubt you'll get any of the other…
  • That is awesome!!! And since you said it wasn't so bad, next time it will be easier :) When I do my runs in the morning, I lay everything out the night before, so when I get up everything's already ready to go. I don't have to do any thinking about what to wear and such. It also helps if you force yourself outside, once…
  • Welcome! It can be difficult to start out, but make sure you set little goals for yourself so that you can reach them. Instead of saying I'll work out everyday maybe start out with I'll work out 3 days a week for just 30 minutes (any three days) and once you reach that goal then set it a little higher until eventually you…
  • I LOVE tea! My favorite is earl grey with a little cream and a little sugar. It's only about 30 calories and takes the place of coffee and any other non-water drink i would want :) For natural sweetness, I like white tea. It has a very light flavor and should never be over-steeped because it can be quite bitter if steeped…
