  • http://www.abbbc.com.au/ Just got the eating plan ... shall see how it goes in 12 weeks ;)
  • oh yeah, keep a few of the little cans of tuna in the pantry - quick and easy, just eat straight out of the can
  • What about some yoghurt with sesame seeds, pepitas, sunflower seeds etc
  • To the OP I have been doing 6 days a week of Insanity and even though the scales were dropping I didn't really look any different (hour glass figure, I tend to evenly lose fat so shape stays the same but takes longer to notice clothes sizing difference) BUT I was amazed to see that my back has been the most noticeable…
  • Terrible side effects from mirena (whilst I know some have no issue, after all my issues I could not in good conscience ever tell anyone to ever get this, plus there is a class action suit in Canada against the makers and thousands of people suffering from side effects that doctors dont believe to be from this but all my…
  • What can I say??? AWESOME!!!!!
  • Bump for later ;)
  • When we were kids our fridge had a padlock on it ... I always thought it was because there were 5 kids and no money ... talking to mum about it a couple weeks ago when I joked about putting a lock on the fridge to keep my 2 year old from getting into it and saying how it was such a good idea when we were kids, she was…
  • Thanks for that, will check it out! It does get hard with food intolerances in the family and having very young children means that there are some things that are required (like someone mentioning that milk is not necessary ... for some it is very necessary!!!) As I said earlier, especially about the prices of groceries…
  • Born and raised in Sydney Australia ... yep that's right ... our trains have to stop for kangaroos crossing the track, koalas like to wander into our living room and watch tv with us and you cant swim in the harbour because a croc will eat you or the surf cause a great white shark will attack you ... Actually, all these…
  • I got married at 22 so not really an issue for me ... but I would think these days you would be seriously limiting the field if a prior divorce was a deal breaker. Of the single people I know if I struck off the divorced, has kids, and gay ones there is actually only 2 people I can think of ... and they're both girls…
  • I am the only female in the house, with 3 boys and a hubby I HAVE to look  But seriously, I would think that everyone should put the whole seat down including the lid, but then I guess the boys would start peeing on the closed lid and say ... well it should be left up it's your fault for putting it down
  • Take a deep breath and blow all the negativity out on your breath ... then when you can, turn on some music and just dance (vacuum if you have to at the same time so you don't let the lack of self confidence you are feeling take over). Keep going till you are smiling. Make sure you find some time to sit or walk in the sun…
  • Not sure if this will help, but I take a spray bottle with water in it when I take my dog to the dog park, if they get a bit feisty a few sprays will make them back off each other. Might be an option rather than pepper spray ... or you could buy some spray from the pet store that dogs hate the smell of (usually to keep…
  • I think it's all relative ... just I have noticed in Australia that the cost of living has blown out like anything! Rent is pretty high, health insurance runs around $320 a month for a family, petrol is $1.38-$1.54 per Lt (a gallon is 3.785 litres - so at cheapest we are paying $5.22 per gallon!). It makes it hard to…
  • Wow, that seriously blows me away!!!!! Even the farmers markets here are not much off what you pay at the supermarket, sometimes they actually charge more!!! Bananas can range from 99c/kg in the high season right up to $22/kg (although this has only happened a couple of times in the past 10 years when cyclones wiped out…
  • Far out! $50/mth I wish I could only spend $100/mth! The kids milk comes in at $4.97 per 2lt and having 3 little ones means a whole heap of milk - they have to drink A2 milk but it is much better than regular (regulat milk is around $3 per $2lt! Groceries are really expensive in Australia ... 'cheap' apples are when they…
  • Not sure if this would help but i have seen DVDs for seated Pilates for less mobile people. Also maybe see a physio as they should be able to hive you some exercises that suits your condition. Good luck
  • I have 3 little monkeys myself! I alter a lot for my meal from the 'family' meal - like make something that is a base for each of the plates to be made up with the additions that each person likes. Like tonight I cooked hamburgers for the kids and hubby - they had theirs on toast and I just had the mince patty with a side…

  • The low carb beers I mentioned before (Pure Blonde and Hahn Super Dry) are 3.2g of carbs each http://www.calorieking.com.au/foods/calories-in-beer-cider-stout_c-Y2lkPTQyJnBhcj0mbGI9b24.html - handy for calories in beer/cider/stout

  • Stuff the light beer  Pure Blonde is low carb and full strength! 107 calories in a 355ml bottle or Hahn Super Dry is the same stats both at 4.6% alcohol

  • This is the very best advice! Please do not try to keep up with them ... as Shaun T says "Form over speed" and if you lose your form, take a break (like a few seconds) then just give it your best! My kids always say to me "you aren't doing it as fast as them" I often reply "do I look like that? When I am as fit as them,…
  • Bump - I'm two weeks in and already my arms have thinned out and started looking more defined and I can actually feel my stomach muscles are getting really hard! I'm looking forward to the flubber decreasing so that my definition can bee seen and not just felt  There are some awesome youtube videos of…
  • What brand of almond milk do you use? The lowest cal almond milk I have found comes in at 78 cal per cup (250ml) ... Nice recipe. Thanks
  • Skinny Girl Cocktails ... under 100 cal per 100ml serve! Just google it ;) Edit to add: Happy Birthday :)
  • A glass of water with metamucil is always enough to give that satisfied feeling as the fibre expands in your belly. I think it's only worth 20 cal for a tsp of Metamicil Orange (the smooth one) as well :)
