  • I'v found that being a "foodie" actually makes it easier. My husband & I love to cook and we cook a lot. I've found that a lot of ethnic foods can be pretty healthy if properly done. We are meat eaters but have found a love for vegetarian SE Asian dishes, those are usually super healthy, like a chickpea curry (made with…
  • Eat the whole thing, the yolk has great nutrients!
  • Weight loss isn't linear. I've lost 84 pounds, and my weight is up & down all of the time, but the overall trend is down. As you can see, about half of the days I actually show a gain. It has been like this for the entire last year that I have been logging. Weight loss isn't linear.
  • Phenomenal! Job well done!
  • You must be eating significantly more vegetables high in fiber.
  • If it fits into your calories for the day, yes! And make sure you weigh it, dense high calorie foods like this can easily rack up if not measured properly. Enjoy, I love peanut butter
  • Thanks for sharing, it took a bit to figure out how to sync with MMR, but now I'm ready to roll!
  • No jump start required, and no need to spend a lot of money on something that gives you a calorie deficit. Just eat in moderation and log everything, you can then take the money you saved and spend it on something to celebrate the weight that you've lost by logging your food.

  • Solely calories in vs. Calories Out (CICO). I just eat less than I used too, along with moving more. I still have fast food once in a while, just a lot less than I used to because it is easier to fit other foods into my day. No need to fully eliminate anything, just log accurately, the process works (it is a law of physics)
  • My Goodwill has racks and racks on jeans! I haven't purchased a new pair of jeans in years
  • No. Calorie deficit is what will cause weight loss, some people use vegetarianism as a tool to achieve a calorie deficit, but you still need to eat less calories overall. I know many "healthy" vegetarians, and I know some that are obese. Again, a calorie deficit is what you need.
  • CICO (Calories in Calories Out) Basically I eat less calories than I burn, according to the laws of physics, that means weight loss. 83 pounds down so far, and I can eat whatever the hell I want to eat, which is awesome. Of course, through the process of logging, I have started making healthier choices, but I still rarely…
  • Don't waste your money on anything like that. Like the PPs said, eat less and move more. It does require some work for you, but it really isn't that bad.
  • Very common. After a sodium bomb of a day I "gained" 7 pounds overnight. As you already said, weight fluctuation is very normal
  • great job!!!!!
  • I used to do a protein shake, lately I've been having oatmeal, fairly low calorie, keeps me full until lunch and really cheap! Plus it is something I can quick make at work since I hate waking up early. The weekends is a whole other thing, my husband and I tend to do brunch (either at home or out)
  • Technically yes, but it has to be A LOT of water at a time, it is called Water Intoxication, and it is very rare. But chances of this happening are very very slim, so for the most part, drink up! The biggest gauge of knowing how much water you need is your pee, if it is yellow, drink more, if it is clear, you are drinking…
  • Another one saying "recipe builder" that is what it is there for!
  • Leftover Vegetable Minestrone
  • I'm a meat eater, but have a few meatless meals every week, because it is cheaper. My meatless meals tend to have a lot of lentils, beans or eggs in them. Once in a great while quinoa, but I've only found a couple of recipes with it that I've enjoyed. My lunch today is leftover soup from last night, vegetable minestrone…
  • Map My Walk grossly over estimates calories burned. At least for me it does (according to my HRM)
  • The best will vary depending on the person. The best for you will be whatever gets your heart rate up and you enjoy doing. There are A LOT of videos on youtube
  • 80 pounds gone, very simple, eat less, move more.
  • I've lost over 11 of my cats!
  • You need more supportive friends. Statistically, you are at a healthy weight. Focus on learning how to love yourself and hopefully better friends will come along with that.
  • weight loss wise, you can have all the diet soda you want. Weight loss is strictly about calories, diet soda has no calories. I'm down 80 pounds and drink plenty of diet soda.
