FANTASTIC!!! And yes...I can relate :)

I have maintained only by following my newly acquired lifestyle, which proves you can maintain after losing a significant amount of weight in a reasonable amount of time. I've gotten over the temptation at family events, birthdays, etc. Those challenges are not what makes maintenance hard. It's the "What do i do now?"…

Yes. :drinker: My blood pressure was also top notch when I saw my doc last month. She was like "Do you work out?" lol I drink at LEAST 8 cups a day. I use skim milk sometimes, but usually have it black.

TRUE :flowerforyou: I relate so much to this! I loved having the clearly determined boundaries of weight loss, and since reaching goal in March 10', I've been constantly trying to challenge myself. Fitness goals are all fine & good, but there's NOTHING like the feeling of dropping pant sizes and watching that scale number…

Yep. And I'm stingy. Wrote a blog about this a while back, it's great way to stay on top of your consumption.

Oh, I feel you. I have MANY friends, family, & acquaintances that talk about doing something weight-wise and always find an excuse to do NADA.

Exactly :) Fantastic article!

Pure Protein brand is great. My fave: Chocolate Peanut Butter Flavor, 200cals, 20g protein, 16g carbs, 6g fat, 2g sugar. BEST numbers I've found in bars. I also make my own at home.

This is exactly what I do! lol The other day I made banana bread from scratch and gave one of the loaves to my neighbor, then hid the other from myself, and had my Husband put it only where he can reach  I really enjoy baking/decorating, I just need more people to pawn things off on. My kids aren't big sweets…

I needed this today :)

Hi! It wasn't easy, but it's doable. It took about 2 1/2 months for the last 10lbs. I messed around with calorie cycling (zig-zagging), I'd go really low one day and then way high the next in attempts to shock my system, but always meeting a weekly goal of 8400cals. I exercised, but not habitually...taboo, I know... but no…

5'2", started at 244lbs. after my second pregnancy, now I fluctuate between 134-130lbs. 135 was my original goal, sometimes I flirt with going into the 120's. lol I've been maintaining my goal for over 1 & 1/2 years now:flowerforyou:

Trust me. I know plenty about moderation, but cheesecake is one of those foods I don't eat in small portions  Preparation and remaining conscious of every single morsel that enters my bod is what has made me maintain my goal weight for over 1 & 1/2 years now :) Lots of work, but oh so worth it!
-
O.M.G. For my Husband & I's vow renewal (in another 5 years), we'll be having a traditional NY style Cheesecake, but in tier form like that one :) It's going to be awesome, but I'll have to not eat anything else the entire day

EXACTLY. Love this:flowerforyou:
-
Exactly. Takes me twice as long to eat food.

I agree, the Southern cuisine and cultural customs involving food make losing weight harder. Fried, battered, & deep fried. That being said, I lost all of my weight while living in Savannah, GA, 110lbs. That meant saying "NO" a lot! I prepared homemade low calorie meals, brought healthy options to social…

NO EATING CHILD'S LEFTOVERS!!! lol. I cook for my family. Sometimes I make things that are figure-friendly, and other times I make their favorites traditionally, or make food substitutions to create a lower calorie version. If not that, I make myself a separate dish.

lmao @ the t-bone and african men thread. Here's a "cyber steak" so you can feel less annoyed with poor people eating well :)
-
Right on, gimme that $$$! I want a boom boom room in my house, equipped with stage & pole, animal print velvet walls, and a mini bar. We'll just tell the kids it's the hot water tank closet. ...but seriously.

Truly amazing!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!:flowerforyou:

I saw this as well. Yet, this part: "We are not fat, we are greatly cultivated." Yes.... A whole lot of great cultivating went on for me to become 244lbs. Maybe I just love mermaids, lol, or maybe it's the possibility of people potentially hindering their own progress by embracing this mentality of "don't change,…
