  • Run slower and more days per week. It will come but it does take work. I went from running 30 seconds and walking 5 minutes to recover to completing a half marathon in 2 hours 11 minutes last weekend. You can do it just have to be consistant.
  • I am a runner (thats not something I thought I would ever say) and I take a rest day every week. On weeks I have a race I rest the two days before race day.... Rest and recovery are very important to building muscle. But I will say on rest days I usually walk and stretch.
  • Are you sure you are burning 1000 calories doing hot yoga that seems high?

  • When I started I was run/walking. Mostly walking. I would log it as two seperate activities. Log my walking and log my running minutes. You can play with the minutes so the calories burned match your Garmin.
  • I am running my first 10k this weekend also. I normally run in the morning so I plan on eating the breakfast I always eat. 1 cup Special K with 1 cup of 2% milk. I dont want to do anyti\hing that my body isnt used to..... Good Luck this weekend!

  • I dont always eat them all but I do eat often most of them and I have managed to lose almost 60 lbs. in the las 6 months. When I am burning alot of cals get hungry. I dont eat just to be eating but I dont go hungry either......
  • Blackeye peas (for luck), cabbage (for money), ham (for wealth) and cornbread (becuase it goes well with the other things). I went to the store (in Houston)last night they were sold out of blackeyed peas and cabbage. I have blackeyed peas in the freezer but I am fixin to have to go out and do some major recon for cabbage
