  • Vega Sport Performance Protein. The best! I have Chocolate & Vanilla, love them Here's the link so you check out the nutrition info ('key ingredients' under the picture) - http://vegasport.com/en/recover/performance-protein
  • :noway: I could not even fathom working out without one! And I'm totally not stacked - I wear a B cup! OUCH! Buy a sports bra girl, your body will thank you.
  • I bought new running shoes this Saturday - and spent a while taking with the guy about minimalist running shoes, which I've really wanted to try. I decided to get back into running first, until I felt comfortable taking on the commitment of adjusting / switching to minimalist shoes. Because what the guy at Running Room…
  • OP - I'm giving you a virtual hug right now. I do agree with the comments and opinions that as a company, they don't have any obligation to sell their items in different sizes / styles / etc. They're a private company, and as one commenter put it, they can cater to the group of their choosing. BUT - OP, I %100 sympathize.…
  • Are you on or close to your period? That messes so much with my weight it isn't even funny. It's something to do with your body carrying more water weight during that time of the month...and women's weight fluctuates a lot throughout the month in general. I don't go by the scale nearly as much as I used to, I take…

  • It's cool to see the people here who have realized that it is truly a lifestyle change and a commitment, not a short term plan. I'm also really humbled by the few comments praising the OP's positivity, and others wanting to express compassion. I get so frustrated with my overweight coworkers saying, in all seriousness,…
  • I don't know how much I can help other to say that my weight fluctuates like that too - it's so frustrating. I've heard that our weight naturally fluctuates through the month, so there's not a lot we can do about the numbers on the scale. I've started taking measurements and calculating body fat percentage instead - maybe…
  • Love the natural hair!
  • I can't say much about aromatherapy, but I struggled with depression and anxiety for years - in the past year and a half my life has totally changed and I attribute a great deal of that to the naturopathic clinic I went to. They focused on my diet and sleep, gave me homeopathic medicine and teas to help me sleep or to calm…
  • Blind. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't sing or listen to music.
  • I like to make my workout playlists...hilariously epic. They make my workouts feel so hardcore. You haven't run until you've finished your workout on "Skyscrapers" by Demi Lovato. Picture me, gasping for breath, bright red face, collapsing on the floor and yelling about being strong like a skyscraper  I'm a dork. It…
  • I just took a quick look at your diary - I'd suggest trying to incorporate some whole grains into your diet, like brown rice, quinoa, jasmine rice, etc. They don't have to be boring! You can spice them up! I just know for me they make a big difference in keeping me full, and in a healthy way. And like the only reason I'm…
  • I was just about to say something about this - I know a lot of men who actually find that attractive. Which isn't to say that that's a determining factor for something to be okay (HA!) but you get my point? It's not unhealthy or weird. It's actually totally normal and even attractive. You look wonderful, congrats!
  • I'm with samanthamoon - I put them in everything! If you don't know already - if you use them whole, left soaking in liquid they will expand to a consistency closer to tapioca pudding. It isn't bad! But it's sort of weird if you don't expect it haha
  • That's awesome! Great job that you kept going anyway and didn't let it phase you. By the way, that fear of running in public? Totally had & struggled with that, I feel like it's pretty common actually. Also...your picture cracks me up
  • I totally empathize with your struggle, and find comfort in knowing that lots and lots of people have been there. Like others have said, there is always a reason that we do this - but sometimes those reasons are subconscious or so engrained that it's only through a huge amount of thinking and self-work that we can come to…
  • I wonder if actually switching from being mostly vegetarian to eating a lot of chicken is affecting that. Had you been eating any meat? Had you been mostly vegetarian for a long time? That sounds like a big change - could just be your body readjusting.
  • Exactly what you said - clean eating. I think it's in the phrase too right - it's *clean* food. Personally, when I focus on eating a whole, clean, mostly vegan diet I just feel so much better. The trick is noticing how it affects you to eat some of the foods that you've tried to cut out - if I eat dairy I feel congested,…
  • I cook using a strictly trial and error method

  • This is exactly what I was going to say! So amazing, well done and keep at it!
  • I think it really depends on how its phrased. When I lost 20 pounds last year my grandfather said to me "Oh GOOD, you've lost weight! You were getting quite plump there." Thank you...
  • I passed. And proud of it. When all else failed and I blew up in size, I still somehow had a great butt. I hold on to that darn it! Edited for spelling :)
  • Just started early morning runs & workouts this week - for me to be able to shower and be presentable in time for an 8:00 start at work I have to get up at 5:20. I adore running and yoga in the mornings - stopped because my new job starts an hour earlier than my last one. It's going to take some getting used to...I…
  • Thanks for all the replies everyone! Some good tips. I'll definitely think about getting a heart rate monitor, that's a clever suggestion. As far as the distance / duration - I have been figuring out how far I've been running, and going by how much of that distance I was actually running figure out my speed from there.
  • I'd love to do the 30 day shred with you! Also, I agree, I am /not/ fit enough for Insanity. It terrifies me even watching the ads. I think I would throw up.
  • Yay! I'm glad others are as excited as I was - so great to find a way to enjoy coffee (especially like this in the summer!) without feeling bad about it :)
  • Delicious! It has a very distinct flavour. Raw I find it can be quite chewy, which is why I like to steam it.
  • No way! I love YBB! Well...I love the "light and easy" one, the latin flavour one makes me feel like an uncoordinated a-sexual loser. But I DO love Teigh & Gillian, I will definitely have to check that out.
  • C25K week 3 day 1. Tonight I will be trying out the free DVD that came with my new exercise ball. Also, I'm sort of upset that my exercise ball is black. Why were there not more colours in the store? Is is it just me, or is that odd?
  • I totally get that would feel like a pain - but I know if you do go to a couple classes, and /then/ start using DVD's you'll be really glad you did! As far as DVD's go - Rodney Yee with Gaiam Yoga has loads out, he's really great. He also tends to move very fast and his beginner videos aren't always quite beginner, so take…
