I'd love to give and get more motivation and insights from fellow MFP'ers. Add me! :)

Very exciting about your engagement and the twins! You have good motivation to be doing this, which is great. I lost a bunch of weight before getting married, and then gained a bunch back over the last seven years. It has been a struggle. I've recently been on a good kick with staying consistent at the gym, doing boxing…

Hi, I just turned 42, and have 50 lbs to lose. I had great success on here a few years back, and lost over 50 lbs. Now I've gained back almost all of it, and realize it's time for a real change! I exercise a pretty good amount, so I feel like I should be shedding lbs but I have not been logging to go along with it. Anyway,…

So inspiring, everyone! Thanks for the great inspiration.

Congrats! You look absolutely amazing!

I'm so sorry that you've been hurt like this. It's unacceptable for him to say such a thing, no matter what he does for you. I agree with everyone else that if he has conditions, that is not true love, and it is certainly not marriage material. You deserve better, to have someone who thinks you are beautiful and everything…

I'm doing the Rugged Maniac in July. I had never run before a few months ago, so I've done Couch to 5K, and can now run about 2 miles, but at a slow pace, so I'm nervous about the running portion. Actually, I'm a little worried about the strength portion as well, although I've been doing lots of strength training, as well…

I have the same issue! I get late night cravings for snacks, and my husband is always snacking in the evening, so that doesn't help. Tonight I'm just trying to chug a ton of water, and it's helping. And I agree about brushing your teeth. It works. Good luck!

Yours are great, OP. I gotta try the choo choo train! I tell myself to "DIG DEEP!" or "You got this," or I'll look at how much I have left and say, "That ain't ****!"

I'm on day 2 of week 4, and am only jogging at 4.4 mph. I started at 4.1 or 4.2. I sometimes feel like I should be going faster, but then said why push myself beyond what I can do? At this point, that speed is challenging enough, and I'm definitely breathless when I finish. I think as I progress further, I'll naturally…

You look fantastic!!! Amazing work.

I have read so much about it as a natural "miracle" cure for a multitude of things. I don't know about the weight-loss effects, but my husband and I try to take it daily, because it has so many reported benefits.

It happened to me on two of my fave pairs, for the same reason. Sucks, doesn't it?! You find a pair that fits great, and wear them to death.......

I plan to log, but I am going to start the day with a nice hike with the dog, and then will do a ton of walking during my midnight madness Black Friday shopping! So, although I'm sure I'll go over, it won't be completely horrible. Enjoy, everyone!

You look utterly fantastic! Great job!!!

i understand how you feel, because I was there, too. I agree with those who say to start now. Every positive decision you make for yourself, no matter how small, is bringing you one step closer to your goals. On the other hand, every donut, pizza or blowing off a chance to exercise is getting you farther away. When I think…

I was anxious to see people's responses on this, because I need ideas too! But I'm also on a 1,200-calorie plan, and a few things I eat are various kinds of fish and veggies; soups for lunch, but only homemade or ones with natural ingredients from the health-food section; spinach salad with dried cranberries, pine nuts and…

I noticed that the further along I got with my journey, the more I wanted to talk about it, which is why these forums are great! When I'm in a good mode and being dedicated to fitness and eating right, I'm excited about it. I feel like I kind of censor myself to some extent, discussing such things with people who are…

And don't forget jumping rope. I agree about Insanity. I do most of my workouts at home, with a variety of all the aforementioned activities, and although I've yet to buy Insanity, I have had some killer workouts just stealing some exercises from the infomercial and doing those. There are endless great at-home options.…

Wow, you are looking amazing! Great job, and keep up the awesome work!

What an amazing transformation. Great job!!! You look beautiful.

What? I'm not talking about the FDA funding studies. I'm talking about what ingredients are allowed to go into foods in the U.S., and my point is that I don't blindly put my trust in the government gatekeepers of what is supposedly safe to consume. And regarding Coca Cola, I don't think they're good. I picked it up without…

I log it as aerobic dance, which seems to be in the right ballpark for Zumba.
-
Sure, if you believe the "science" funded by wealthy corporations. The FDA lets many harmful ingredients go into the foods being sold, and to believe otherwise is beyond naive. This is not to say that I don't have occasional diet sodas, but I definitely think aspartame is bad. I use Stevia or Truvia in my coffee.

Amazing work, Craig! You are an inspiration!!!

I love the Striiv app too, but am thinking I will also unlink it from MFP, because I see that it sometimes thinks I'm walking when I'm just moving the phone to my ear or whatever. Also, I have trouble trying to add friends, but if anyone wants to add me, I'm rubyrenga@aol.com. I'm a little embarrassed about my low numbers…

"I can't check my gmail says incorrect password I didn't mean 2 bother you at your meeting not important get back when you have a break I love my Dudley" From my sweet, technologically-impaired fiance.

Wow, what a transformation! You look fantastic and should be so proud!!!

Thanks Marvin! I appreciate your saying that, because I went back and looked and noticed it, too. My self-critiquing eyes totally miss the differences!

Here is last July: Last August: And this June (not much difference, I think). Lost weight since then, but no dramatic change: This is going to motivate me to really get on the ball again!
