I have a son - Nathaniel Aidan If I was to have more, I'm pretty set on Iris for a girl and like Wade, Leyton, Christopher and Conrad for a boy. I hate newfandangled names and 'interesting' spelling, but also dislike very common names. ..

Well, unlike all the above, I only weigh myself once a month, and log every time. I, as opposed to most, do NOT like to see the ups and downs and feel that I become obsessed with the numbers if I weigh in too frequently. This allows me to keep tabs on what's happening without making it all about the figure on the scales. I…

Might I suggest a bbq? Also, don't know why everyone is suggesting store bought salad. A home made salad with tuna and low cal mayo is delicious, nutritious and requires no electricity to prepare. Or tomato, mozarella and avocado with a bit of balsamic - yum!

Hi there, I've lost 75lbs over the past year. I am 31, 5'6 and started at 263lbs. I do a reasonable amount of exercise and drink plenty. So far, no saggy skin (although the stretchmarks are there, but they are more down to pregnancy and yo-yo-ing as a teenager). I want to lose another 30-ish lbs, but hoping everything will…

Can I just say: you are extremely beautiful! That out of the way - GREAT JOB! Congratulations!!

I've been doing what diva suggested above, and it's been working out ok for me. I aim to eat about half the calories MFP says I'd burned...

I love, love, love my Sketchers Tone-ups. So lightweight, brilliant ankle support, very stable and so lovely to tread on! http://www.skechers.co.uk/style/11775/tone-ups-run/bkw#Color=NVLV

You can add me too, if you like. Been here about a months - it's a great community; there's plenty of support out there. Good luck :-)

Hi Nicole, I am currently aiming to lose about 90lbs, but could really do with 100 or so being off. I only started 2.5 weeks ago, so new here too. Please feel free to add me. Bella :-)

Cinema popcorn - about 1000cals in a small bag, your weekly salt allowance, and enough sat fats to clog your arteries before the adverts are through!!

You look incredible!

I'm 5'5 and my initial goal is to get down to 154 (possibly, 140 as final destination, but we'll see...) also would like to reduce BF to below 30%.

Thanks for all the advice; It's very useful and much appreciated!! I have to say - I'm not hugely down on myself because of the excess weight, but know there are huge health benefits in the long term from losing what is no necessary. Plus, I've been meaning to get back to proper exercise for longer than I care to remember.…

Thanks for the detailed post - I didn't realise there was a difference in the system. Interesting! Think I'll just stick to the goals I set through MFP for now, and see how I get on.

Thanks - planning on training as well, but initially the aim is to concentrate on losing weight and increasing cardio fitness through circuit training, calisthenics, swimming and walking.

Hi, I'm new around as well. Been here about a week. It's a pretty neat community. Feel free to add me as a friend. :-)

Hi there, I'm fairly new here. Feel free to add me, as well! :-)

Skin will go back to an extent. It does depend (excuse the bluntness) on how far and for how long it has been stretched. Exercise definitely helps, and so does a slow controlled weight loss. The faster you lose weight, the less likely your skin to shrink back, as it has no time to adjust. Bella
