It works if you're just getting into fitness. I personally think it is too easy for someone who has been challenged before.

greek yogurt, sea salt almonds, veggies and hummus, shakeology are all my picks

I make egg white omelettes in the morning, bring it, and reheat for lunch. Turkey taco's on a bed of lettuce and fresh salsa Turkey burgers (no bun) and asparagus

I agree. It is very hard with he company you keep. When I began my fitness journey a year ago, I had to switch up my routine a bit. I love all my friends and I have not given them up; however, I definitely go out with them less. Instead of going out 1-2 times a week and drinking and eating pizza, I do it 1-2 times a month.…

Not a fan of Slim Fast. It has artificial stuff in it. If you don't recognize an ingredient, your body won't either...

I make a cup on my keurig the night before and put it in the fridge. In the morning, I add a 1/4 cup of coconut milk and a 1/2 pack of stevia which is all natural :)

this is what i bring: fruits, veggies, natural quest bars, almonds, shakeology, almond milk

It's pretty much a given that one will put on weight from wine. It's all sugar.

Not true. I have high insulin levels. I have taken metformin since I was 14 and it balances my levels for PCOS.

Hello :) I have PCOS and high insulin levels. I have been taking metformin for 13 years and it evens my levels. I have not had any side effects from it (that I know of).... unless I am just so used to it?

yes you are. 1200 is okay if you don't workout. But when you work out you're burning at least 200 calories. Your body needs fuel! I would increase to 1400 for a month and see what happens. Else you will go into starvation mode and plateau.
-
you should start meal prepping in advance. if you don't plan to succeed then you plan to fail!

I am not sure what a pyramid scheme has to do with drinking a shake? The proof is in the result and you won't know until you try it. Compare the labels for yourself. You will see that Shakeology is 100% natural, has no artificial junk, has TONS of super foods, and high protein and fiber. I have been drinking it for a year.…

hahahaha.... join he club. it's super hard! I am obsessed with quest bars. Gives me the feeling of eating a sweet :)
-
I am confused by your post. Lifting does burn calories and helps you lose weight. More than cardio... and when you have muscle, you're constantly burning calories at a resting rate :)
-
ugh.... not slim fast. artificial JUNK. Look for an actual healthy meal replacement shake with minimal chemicals. I drink shakeology.
-
YES. 1200 is way too low if you exercise daily. Your body may go into starvation mode.
-
"diet" soda, "fat-free" dressings, sour creams, etc. whenever these terms are used, other chemicals and junk are added to make them taste good. oh and we can't forget your "healthy choice", ""smart ones", and "lean cuisine" meals. those are just terrible. want to gain major water weight? just eat these with all the sodium!
-
she's absolutely right :) just focus on clean, natural foods and limit your portions.
-
THIS.

Depends what you aim for. A beer is healthier than liquor, crystal light, or diet soda in terms of "clean eating" and all natural but if you just want to go with calories, I do flavored vodka and water and I squeeze limes and lemons in it.
-
you can do this. we're here for you!!!
-
Because your body is going into starvation mode. 1200 is very low. You need nourishment. I think you need to seek a professional for this.

Check out my profile. My current pic is my insanity results :) Amazing program!!

Yep. I get it all the time. Misery loves company. They are envious of what you're doing because they want to do it as well. Keep smiling, shining, working hard, and staying positive. People WILL flock and join you eventually. If they don't, maybe it's time to take a step back from these negative people. I did and I…

Kill her with kindness. I deal with it every day. "eeeewwww abs are for men" "you're too toned"... blah blah. Smile and say "thanks for your opinion but I am happy and healthy and that's really none of anyone business.
-
It is extremely difficult for a woman to build muscle. I wouldn't worry. Keeping your tone is awesome :)
-
I would not do it either. As long as I am eating clean 90% of the time and having one cheat meal a week, I hit my goals.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and a Masters in Social Work. But now I do neither. I am a fitness coach because that is really my passion :)
