  • Good morning MFP friends. I'm new here...actually back here from years ago... I turned 50 in January and have a lot of weight to lose. I'm sick of being sick and tired and I want to get my health and energy back. I hope this is a good place to start my journey. Any other threads you would recommend? I remember there being…

  • I would love to join this challenge but it's too slippery here to ride right now and I don't have an indoor. I will, however, commit to doing some sort of activity with the horses every week. Even if it's just brushing or groundwork with them. Thanks for starting this thread.
  • My name is Angela and this is my first time doing a challenge in many years. I started MFP in 2004 but have been absent from here for years. I'm back and need a challenge to help keep me on track. My goal for March is to adhere to the rules set out in the contest, resulting in a substantial weight loss. I have a LOT of…
  • I would like to join this challenge. My goal is 10500 per day.
  • Thanks to those that sent encouraging words. I know I won't post here for help again! I had people PM me trying to sell me challenges, products, coaching, etc. Leave me alone!!!!!
  • I have the same intense cravings. I would love to say there's something magical that will take the craving away. Truth is, there probably isn't...at least I haven't found one yet. I just simply go get a small chocolate bar (perhaps a 100 cal bar or similar) and let myself have it. Then the cravings go away. Just count it…
  • I just got diagnosied yesterday with SLS - my right leg is shorter than my left. I have been reading up on it and all the previous posters are right - it could be several different things. It depends if it's your actual leg length or your pelvis/hips out of alignment. My chiropractor diagnosed me after checking my legs…
  • I used the Couch to 5K app on my iPhone when I started running and I really enjoyed it. It starts you out with a 5 minute warm up, jog 1 minute, walk 1 1/2 mins and repeat for 20 mins then cool down for 5 mins. From there it works you up to running a 5K run over 9 weeks. There are probably several different ones but I like…
  • I'm in too.
  • Wouldn't it be cool if we could have a clothing swap on here? I wonder how that would work...
  • I've always wanted to go on one of those Dude Ranch Cattle Drives (think City Slickers). I have looked at them online many times and so I have decided to either do a cattle drive or a pack trip on horseback. I ride all the time but would love to see the countryside or mountains on horseback. ALSO - new show chaps and…
  • You could always wrap some tape around the inside of it till you really feel you need to resize. I'm experiencing the same thing where it spins around. I only wear it when I'm going out because most of the activities I do at home are things like mucking stalls, cutting fire wood, cleaning, etc and I really don't want to…
  • I love what one women said...I don't HAVE time time to exercise, I MAKE time! That's the only way in my books!
  • I just started this workout this morning because it's too dark to go jogging in the morning now. I was able to do all the exercises but I was surprised how much I was sweating by the end of it. I struggle with pushups but I did what I could. I am going to do my measurements tonight. Thanks for all the posts. Great info!…
  • I love this saying! I am the same...everyone's busy. That's just the way society is these days. Listen, if you want something bad enough, you'll find a way to make it happen. If not, you'll find an excuse. The other thing to do...keep coming on here. There is LOTS of motivation and support here. Get at it!
  • I could look at theses all day. It gets me so motivated. I can't wait till I can post my "after" pic. I'm half way there! Thanks everyone. :flowerforyou:
  • Love, love, LOVE this thread. So very inspiring. I'm am looking for more friends my height so please feel free to add me. Thanks for starting this post.
  • I haven't lot 100 but I'm half way there. I think the key is exercise. Think of the Biggest Loser program - they lose hundreds of pounds and most dont have excess skin. Not only exercise but strength training is the answer. Good luck on your journey!
  • Joined! Thanks. Now does it just track me or do I need to enter something here on MFP?
  • Love love love my Visalus shakes (online at www.countrygal.bodybyvi.com). Shake mix that tastes like cake mix. Then I add fruit - blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, etc. I also make a great Cafe Mocha (shake mix, almond milk, cocoa, instant coffee, and french vanilla flavour mix). Hope you find what you're looking for.
  • Wow! That hits home! My finace was in a very close call in Afghanistan too from an IED - There were 3 burried and when he stepped over them and they exploded only 2 went off or this would have been his fate too...or something much worse. I am thankful that God was watching out for him that day. ***lump in throat*** There…
