  • I'm on day 4 of the Whole30. Feel free to add me!
  • I watched Joe's story last night too! and the woman that was on before him (can't think of her name but she lost a TON). I enjoy these types of shows because I like to see people take charge of their lives once again and making changes. It's also kind of scary to see how their lives are prior to them going through their…
  • My husband has a weight set I could use. Thanks for the advice!
  • This is what I was thinking. Perhaps I was heavier to begin with an although I'm not entirely down to 164 yet, I still have lost weight. The only thing about continuing to use the old scale is I'm tricked into believing I'm near goal weight. I am also in the military and am trying to get to the weight they require…
  • His weight is about 6-8lbs less on the "broken" scale at our house
  • I'm also in the Army National Guard and am working on a better me as well. I can pass the tests (APFT/tape) however I know I can do better. Feel free to add me!
  • The only thing I will have to say about it is the entire program (including container size, how many/day, etc) can be found for free by google and pinterest. No need to pay a dime!
  • I never purchased the program but I do know what it is. I semi-follow it based off of things I have googled/pinterested as well as weighing and logging on MFP. I guess what I needed was a guideline of how many servings of each food group I should get a day. I found the amount of each container and multiplied by how many of…
  • Awesome! thanks for your help! I wasn't weighing when I first started MFP but after reading a lot on these forums I grabbed one at the store yesterday.
  • Valid point. Thanks for your help!
  • These forums are not maintained or commented on (typically) by doctors. You had courage and bravery to post on a public forum and I commend you on that. However, the help you need is not going to be able to be fulfilled here.

I was away for military training and that means I wasn't doing meal prep or…
  • Here you go! You can see the lists I created. Then I viewed the red/protein list and there's a pic of that. I've been checking them off today and then will uncheck before bed for tomorrow.
  • Hello! I am doing the 21DF as of today. I didn't purchase the program from beachbody. Instead I googled and pinterested and created my own containers from what I found. I also found out that you can use the reminders app on the iPhone to "check-off" your containers. You create a different list for each color then create…
  • What does VLCD stand for? I've seen this on a couple of posts but didn't understand.
  • I personally don't want to pay a company for over priced tupperware or DVDs. So this is what I did, keep in mind I suck at portion control and need help in that department. I got the exercise part down and know how to do that on my own so don't want or need the DVDs. I googled the hell out of 21 day fix until I found a…

  • I have a fitbit charge HR and I start the time on it to measure my calories burn and time during a workout class (used for spin on Saturday). At the end of it I stop the timer and then look at the fitbit app on my phone and it'll tell me all the data. It will also sync to MFP so I don't log it.
  • I haven't used any of these however I do know people that both consumers and are sellers. What I've gathered is it works very similarly to the placebo effect. They promise you things like rapid weight loss and health improvement by taking their product along with diet and exercise. So all along you're thinking "wow this…
  • Hey! I'm 5'5" and 27 years old. Started at 176lbs. Currently I'm 165lbs. It's been harder since I had a child 2 years ago but hasn't been impossible. I just make better decisions because I realized I'm worth it. I am currently training for a marathon in december and that is helping to lose the weight. I eat between…
  • Hi everyone! My names Hollie and I live in South Carolina. I'm 27 years old. I've been on MFP a couple times. A couple years ago when I was deployed I used it with great success. Now here we are 3 years later and I've had a baby and the weight is harder to get off that ever before. Currently I'm training for a full…

  • I just got one too! I'll add you. I work at a desk too but on my lunch breaks I listen to pandora and walk for 35 min around the parking lot. on and when we aren't too busy I walk up and down the flight of stairs. I may look weird but it helps!
  • I just got the fitbit charge HR on Friday and LOVE it. It syncs well with MFP too. My husband has the garmin one and he loves everything it does, although his does not do heart rate (you can use it with a chest strap though). All about what data you are looking to get. He doesn't do workout DVDs like I do so really doesn't…
  • Here's a good one! I love a crock pot recipe any time of year too. This link says 272 calories but when I put it in MFP it says 205. Check it out! http://www.theskinnyfork.com/blog/2013/2/25/crock-pot-guinness-french-onion-soup
  • Today is week 1 day 1 of fasting for me! I started Focus T25 last monday (1/19) and would like to continue to do it through my fasting days, modifying if I need to. Doing pretty well today. Work is keeping me busy. I made low-cal chicken fajitas in the crockpot (under 200cal/serving with out tortilla) so that'll be my…
  • Yes healthy_kim. please add me! today is my week 1 day 2 fast day
  • Yep I did it this time last year. Like you I was completely inspired by FSND. I did it for 28 days and lost 16lbs. Felt GREAT. Even trained for a half marathon during this time. However afterwards I went back to my *kitten* eating habits. So I don't blame juicing for this. Had I done it properly and transitioned to a…
