CONGRATS!! Nikki, you're an inspiration. And now I believe more when doctors say muscle burns more calories than fat. Great job on running for so long so fast. AND on burning so many calories. You must have been exhausted!

I love, love, love veggie burgers! They're usually around 100 calories, 12g protein, and super delish. I make sandwiches with Orowheat 100cal thins--but you just have to eat it a bit cold. I like to eat raw veggies with hummus or just fruit salads. Good luck!

What put me off fast food before I became a Vegetarian? Super Size Me. After that movie, I stopped fast food cold turkey. What made me vegetarian? Reading "Skinny Bi*tch". After reading that book I became vegetarian cold turkey. What keeps me from cravings? Nothing, sometimes I give in hahahaha

I'm not saying anything, really. All I did was quote the article. Besides, I never said you wouldn't lose weight. I lost over 70lbs without exercising--but a lot of that weight was muscle instead of fat. The article basically said if you log in 300 calories burnt because you when on a walk as opposed to burning 50 calories…

check this website out. I used it to get me a breakdown of what I needed to eat! http://www.dietitian.com/calchelp.php

If you want pasta go with whole grain. I love making bulgur wheat with chopped onions, olive oil, garbanzo beans, tomatoes, and instead of eating it with chips, eating it with cabbage! So good. Check out this website: http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes_menus/collections/quick_healthy_pasta_recipes

I do that too! But I put mine in a cup of hot water--like if it were tea.

Thanks so much for this info! I hate my flabby arms and tummy, so I'll be sure to buy this by the box! LOL Do you know where I could buy this soap? I've never heard of it before :(

You probably would see "results". But it'd be muscle you lose and not fat, which is NOT what you want. I recommend you do three things: 1) find your BMR--this is how many calories you burn without exercising 2) eat at least 1200 calories/day--if you eat less your body thinks you're starving it and will not lose weight…

on and off since last March, but after I found MFP, and got the iPhone app, pretty consistent. I think I'm on my 45th day in a row!

I found this website that calculates for me what I should eat every meal. It's helped me IMMENSELY in getting all my fruit and veggies servings daily. Since I'm so cool (LOL), I'm gonna share it with you: http://www.dietitian.com/calchelp.php

You've hit a plateau, my dear. This might sound crazy, but for one day DON'T exercise and eat 1800 (or more) calories. If you think I'm crazy, here's an article where Jillian Michaels says to do just that! (She says to do it for FIVE days, I say do it for one or two, but that's just me!)…

When I had a trainer--it got too expensive--he recommended I didn't eat back my exercise calories. He said it should be a problem if I was eating 1200-1460 (my BMR) calories a day, and I would be creating a bigger deficit. Also, after getting and HRM, I realized how off the exercise calculator on the website is, so, I…

I'm in a sort of similar situation! I've lost 90lbs so far but I have 30lbs more to lose. It's nothing compared to what I've lost, but it's so annoying by now. LOL. Anyway, I tend to eat a bit over my calories and sometimes I log them on different days. The key I've learned is to zig-zag my calories but end up with the…

It's simple math: 1086 (eatten) - 1000 (exercise) = 86. It's basically telling you, your body only ended up taking 86 calories in the day. FYI: don't eat less than 1200 or you'll be hitting a plateau really soon. On your second question: do you mean the "daily goal"? I can't see the "daily calorie deficit" on my goal page,…

Hi Angie, Welcome to MFP! I can tell you one thing--after looking at your diary--and it's your eating too few calories! I'm sure the other members who responded already told you this, but you gotta eat more! Don't be afraid of food, just be conscious of what you're eating ; ) A woman should NOT eat less than 1200 a day…

I recently--and by that I mean "I got it last week"--a Polar FT7 from Amazon. And so far I like it loads! It gives you a more accurate calorie burnt count than the exercise calculator on the site. My HRM tells you how long you were in the "fat burning zone" and "high intensity zone". It has a chest strap which is always…

When I don't know, I try to guesstimate like the other members have mentioned. However, what I do, is I sort of take the average of the closest things on the database. IDK if that makes sense LOL

Welcome! People here are great! We'll support you all the way :) I found you!

You're such an inspiration! Keep up the good work. I can't wait to lose my 100th lb.!

You need to eat more because your body is going into starvation mode. By eating less than 1200--which is NOT good--your body thinks you're starving it, so it's holding on to those last 4lbs with all its might. You have to eat more, at least 100 calories over 1200 and never under. Zigzagging your calories will also help…

Congratulations! I hit my "healthy" BMI yesterday :D However, I'd like to bring it down a couple more numbers LOL

what do you eat?! I'm curious because I want to lower my carb intake but I haven't figure out how yet LOL
