Hi, I am a 27 yo student from Australia with roughly 70lbs to lose and usually log daily. Add me if you like. Anyone feel free to add me.
-
Hi, I log practically every day. Feel free to add me. Anyone can :)
-
As long as you are willing to put in the effort for change I don't think you can ever be too far gone. I know how you feel and I know we can do this. Add me as a friend if you like, we can support each other :)

Thanks for the idea. I have started to use it but decided to put the beads in a jar (I am going to fill that sucker up) because I wasn't sure were I would put the string.

Yeah I get that. I just don't understand why people need to argue about something that doesn't really matter when the actual question has been answered.

I think some people are missing the point of what the op is asking. He is worried that his HRM is defective because when he is wearing it and sitting there doing nothing it is still saying he is burning calories.
-
I am 5'4, 203lbs, 27 years old and and unfit. I burn between 250 and 290 so think 140 may not too far off what you would burn.
-
Even when sitting there doing nothing you are still burning calories, your body uses energy to function. When sitting down I still have a heart rate so my HRM will still count calories burnt. This is not how they are intended to be used though.
-
If you have put the right hight, age and weight into your heart rate monitor then it should be right. For me the machines often under estimate my cal burn. Just remember that HRM aren't 100% accurate however they are more accurate then the gym equipment.
-
This is me personally and I think it all depends on how you use each piece of equipment but I find I burn more calories on the spin bike only because I enjoy it more then the treadmill and therefore push myself more, however it hurts my butt :) If I was to buy one piece of equipment though I would definitely pick the…

Great idea!! I might have to go out and get me some beads so I can steal it ;)

Hey everyone! I am Belle I am 27 from NSW. I have had the MFP app forever but have only just really started taking it seriously just over a week ago. I lost 2kg in my first week and I am hoping to lose another 30 - 35kg. If anyone is interested in being friends add me. It's nice to meet you all.
-
I have no idea however I just wanted to say how sorry I am about your dogs. We had a close call with a tick recently and that was harrowing enough. when something like that happens you realize how much they are actually a part of the family.

Hi, I am just starting out on this journey. My goal is to lose around 75lbs. Feel free to add me.

This except not a peacock and instead of the belly button piercing new breast :)

I will be 28 this year and have spent all my 20's overweight. I am doing this now because I don't want to carry this weight struggle into my 30's. This thread has made me even more determined to do it now so thanks for sharing your stories.

Oh you have a point there. I don't usually go when the movie has just opened so usually only have to push past a person that I came with so haven't really had to deal with this. Though I think I would prefer a few seconds of someone pushing past me then a person in front of me texting on their bright screen for 10 mins.
-
I loved Aaahh! Real Monsters, Rocko's Modern Life and Angry Beavers. Captain Planet was another favorite but not sure it would work for what you want.
-
I find people texting during a movie very distracting and people checking Facebook even more annoying. Of course there has been a few times when I have needed to keep my phone switched on while at the cinema. Guess what I did? I switched it to vibrate and when it rang I left the theater to return the call. Killing someone…

Wow, you look great. The lesson you learnt is something I wish I had learnt at 20, trust me you are going to have happier life because of it.

Hi Karl, I am also going to recommend maybe talking to a counselor. I went through something similar last year and talking to someone really helped deal with the external and internal issues, especially self hatred. It is still something I am working on but I am not as mean to myself these days.

I have heard of loseit but never used it as I am Australian and apparently MFP has more of our foods in it so am giving this a try. You have lost heaps already, well done. Good luck with your continued weight loss.

Hi, I too am a former WW member. I lost around 30lbs on it but after a knee injury ended up gaining it all back. I recently re joined WW but haven't managed to get started on it again so though I would give this a try. I wish you lots of success on here.
