Join an all-women's gym. I did and it's awesome. None of this stuff goes down and I've seen it at other co-ed gyms.

I am happily married for almost 10 years. I gained 56 lbs with kid 1 and 70 with kid 2 and never quite got back to pre-preggo weight until recently. I have noticed a direct correlation between my husband's sex drive and how fit/slim I am. When I am exercising, watching what I eat and feeling confident, he is literally…

Congrats on the amazing weight loss! This is going to sound superficial but I think that once you start to feel you look good, people will notice you and pay more attention to you. That has been my own experience. So, if I were you, I would make sure you are wearing good-fitting clothes - ones that truly do your new body…

My area of concern is the lower tummy, which is many a mom's issue. I had two kids 21 months apart and two C-sections. While I don't think I will ever have a magazine-worthy stomach, the more the weight drops, the smaller that area becomes. It's not loose skin per se as I know there is still fat under there. I know it will…

I find low carb works really well for me. And you'd think it would be difficult given that I'm a vegetarian (though I eat fish, cheese and eggs). Not so. Also I do IF and it works really well. I eat all my food between 12 pm and 6/7 pm. I feel great all day long with just a black coffee to last me until I have lunch. It's…

Personally, cutting down carbs is the only thing that has really worked. I have done regular calorie counting and even when doing that to the T, I did not lose after a certain point. I have a lot of diabetes in my family, as well as thyroid issues, and a low carb diet is just going to be the way of life for me going…

Great post. What a story. You are very strong! And also brave. I applaud you.

That happens at my work all the time. Snacks and sweets are out all the time. I find that if I tell myself I can have one or have a little, it's all downhill from there. These are triggers for me. So I just don't have them. It sucks to be the only one to NOT have cake because someone celebrates something, but I am that…

I have not read the back and forth but I am a vegetarian myself (20 years now) and have kids (and a husband) who DO eat meat. I don't eat meat because I don't like the taste but am fine with making it for my family. Having said that, they probably eat less meat that your full meat-eating family. So, if you want to friend…

Any refined carbs and limited my carb intake to those that come from vegetables. Feel waaay better about everything ever since I started doing that.

I recommend a steady diet of vodka on the rocks, minus the rocks. And if you still think there are too many toxins in your system, try a nice gentle laxative - will get all those toxins out in a few hours. You're welcome.

Mixed greens, feta cheese, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, blue cheese yogurt dressing, a scoop of egg salad on top. Delish, low carb and extremely filling!

If you are eating 700 cals a day and burning 700 to 1000 cals a day....well of course you're going to lose weight. This is not healthy I'm sorry. I don't like to be negative on the boards and I am a fan of 'whatever works' but seriously, no wonder you dropped so many sizes in 4 months. Also 1.5 hours cardio? Yea no thanks.

Uuuugh, I detest the incline. I totally get it and it make sense but while I can run no problem for 30 mins and run at 5.0 speed or 5.5, I caNOT handle an incline. It just kills me. I love to run and do 4 to 5 times a week but I'm a flat treadmill kinda girl.

No. Never ever had one. My kids have never had one. The H1N1 thing blew up while I was pregnant with my son and I agonized over not getting that shot. I did not get the shot and did not get it (neither did he). Never had the flu. Kids have not either. DH hasn't either. I believe in vaccinations (both of my kids are all up…

I had my ears done (just regular piercing) and my navel done in my mid-20s. I had to take the navel out due to continuous issues with it and my first pregnancy made a really nasty stretch mark out of that one. My belly is on its way to being flat again but that piercing makes my belly look kind if puckered. Ugh. I find…

I've been a pescatarian for 20 years now. I just don't like meat that isn't fish. No other reasons - it's a texture thing with me (for example I can't eat very meaty fish like sword fish or mahi mahi). One of my main sources of protein is sardines. I know people think they are gross but they are low carb, high protein and…

Neither. I eat plain greek 2% yogurt. It has the lowest carbs and no additives.

No. And I love it.

Sometimes I will fully buy something that is bad and I'll feel terrible and just throw it out. Yes it's a waste (of food and money) but I have gotten that close - where I'm holding the [fill in the blank] and then just have to throw it out. Other times, taking one single bite will tie me over. I will log it and usually…

- meat (I'm a vegetarian) - any and all refined carbs - anything with MSG in it - chips --- I can't stop at just one

I think you are looking for reasons not to go (awkward conversation about your dietary choices, last minute invite, you were an after-thought invite, you already have plans etc.). There are many for you to choose from. But being a vegetarian and this being a fish place is not a good one IMO. I've been a vegetarian for over…
