Hi 7nickels, I would suggest you take it one small step at a time. Starting on MFP is a good start. I think focusing on smaller goals, like aiming to lose 7lb within a few weeks would be a good goal. If you're on MFP you'll see that losing a large amt of weight can be done, if you just stick with it. Its a lifestyle change…

Sorry, that post above was in reply to someone who said they get angry when hungry!!

I'm the same. Thankfully I can recognise when my crankiness is from hunger and I hold my tongue when I want to give out to someone and then I head straight for the fridge!!

Friend request sent! And for everyone else, feel free to add me :-)

I love going on my own, I can't imagine working out with anyone else. Although, saying that, when I'm going on the treadmill I always try to get a machine beside someone else who is running (not walking) its motivation for me to try to keep up :-)

I'm from Ireland, not quite the UK but the same time zone, you can all add me if you like :-)
-
I'll add you, and anyone else can add me too :-)

Yeah I agree! I'd rather enjoy a small amount of the real foods than not enjoy lgr amounts of the diet foods. I always make my meals from scratch and they're often much lower in cals than foods produced by the likes of Weight Watchers, who incidentally often have ingredients that I don't recognise!!

Hi, you can add me!!

Not from the UK but I'm from Dublin, Ireland... would love more friends from the same time zone... so feel free to add me!!

Thats fantastic to have all of those in one day! Its great to hear the hard work is paying off not to mention the motivation its giving to you and to others! Well done, keep it up!

Ah thats great!! It's brilliant when you can start to notice it yourself.. ! I say your clothes are looser as well? Well done on the work anyhows, make sure you remember it if you ever feel like slipping :-)

Just read your reply and it makes perfect sense! I often feel people are looking at me in the gym as well, but next time I'm definitely going to remember this! Thanks!
-
I often feel that way too but I guess most people are insecure on some level. When I started going I just braved it at the beginning, it was hard but worth it when I finished my workout. It'll get easier in time!

it could be, they say your body gets used to eating the same foods and that you need to shake it up a bit. Maybe do a fresh review of what you eat, ie, maybe re-check some of your ingredients and the cals in them to make sure they haven't changed or that you haven't accidentally forgotten about some.. ie, don't forget to…

I've just cut down - both food and drink!! I don't think its realistic to cut it out completely, not when most people here socialise in the pub. Corona light is only 100 cals per bottle and on the occasion I drink white wine I water it down with diet soda water.. makes a lovely refreshing spritzer - still drinking but the…

Wow you look fantastic!! That is seriously inspiring!! Well done!
-
I wouldn't give it up.. I enjoy it too much! I just cut back, and count the calories within MFP.
-
OOhhhh... I'll definitely try that one, thanks!!
