  • I've been lurking around too :)
  • Great story! Would've loved to see your faces during all that!!
  • I'm in the same boat!!! Last January I dislocated/fractured my ankle and have a plate with 8 screws in it. Then in April, my mom passed away and at the very moment, she died, I had a stroke from the stress and grief. I have made a full recovery from both. The ankle is still very painful and I have no residual from the…
  • wow, youre right! Thank you for pointing that out :flowerforyou: One big step forward!!
  • I love that message!! I remember the day it said in 5 weeks I would be 198.5 lb and I haven't seen Onederland in a long time!!! That was definitely nice to see!!!
  • I've been in coding and transcription since 1994, currently transcribing from home. I'm not certified in coding though so I'm taking classes to get certified too (the hospital I worked for didn't require it but now everyone does) I'm hoping to code from home cuz they make more $$ than transcriptionists from home. Do any of…
  • Wow, just fantastic. Loved your videos!! Don't take this the wrong way but your before pics, you looked alot older and now you look like a rocking ripped 20 something!! You are really inspiring!! The videos say to follow on facebook but what name do you go under? I might have missed it somewhere, sorry!!
  • I know its hard and I used to fight it when I was on Weight watchers (and probably the reason I quit WW) but its really not that hard on here once you get going cuz the foods stay on your list and you just check off the ones you eat all the time. My hard times are when I go over, like tonight. It bums me out so much. It…
  • thank you all for the input. Its nice to know that I'm not the only one that gets this way and that it won't be lost forever!! Not that this is my first go around with diets, lifestyle changes, "programs", whatever we need to call it. Gawd no, I've "done" it all but this time, a few weeks ago I thought "this is the…
  • Great choice Grant! I've dropped 12 lb in 3 weeks since I have been here. I love the community here. I always resisted tracking my food before but here it is pretty effortless and has really opened my eyes. Good luck on your journey! I'm trying to get back into running after I get a little more weight off so I don't kill…
  • I agree with her. Try Atkins for a while cuz for some people it really works but if you are finding out its not working for you, I've been on the traditional count the calories method (I'm doing 1,200 which is pretty low but my job is very very sedentary so don't shoot me MFP!) and I've lost 12 lb in 3 weeks. That way is…
  • I agree with her. I think you just need to get used to your new look. You've done a fantastic job. You look great! I have just the opposite problem.... I was always thin growing up, then got heavy and everytime I look in the mirror, this heavy older woman look back at me and I think "who the hell is that?" :noway: lol I'm…
  • I think having a break day depends on where you are mentally in your goals. I am a sugar addict too and diet pepsi. For me, if I am mentally struggling with my diet, I stay away from break days for fear that I won't come out of it. It took me a good long week or more to feel good physically when I gave up diet pepsi and…
  • Wow really terrific and what a great reward to yourself!!
  • Wow, that is a great intro!! Way to go on the 70 lb. Bet it opens up a whole new scene to your acting world huh?
  • I'm doing something like that. I'm suppose to eat a protein with every meal. I get fruits, lots of veggies, some carbs. Its not a book though, its an M.D. program. Its working pretty good but I have quite a bit of weight to lose so its coming off quick at first :)
  • I know exactly what you mean about the DAMN look!!! I've told people for years that I hate hate hate that moment when you run into friends you havn't seen for a long time. I went from being about 140 lb (I'm 5'8") most of my life until I hit my 40s and a bad marriage and soared to 230 lb. This site is really cool cuz you…
  • I thought swimmers at first cuz I'm a huge Michael Phelps fan BUT... seeing these. I LIKE THEM ALL!! Something about strong muscled arms... yeah! And I wouldn't mind having the backsides of the volleyball players.
  • . I'm a protrait photographer and some of my best clients are bigger girls. I was thinking how pretty your picture was too and how I want to "steal" that idea and pose :)
  • Well said KT!!! My thoughts exactly!!

  • I've seen the infomerical and would love love love to try it but I think its out of my league!!! :(
  • I know what they "say" to do, but I'm like you and have always had a willpower issue at TOM. I do give in, in little portions, cuz when my TOM is here I get really emotional too so if I completely gorge out and give in,then I have to deal with the emotional side as well. So you might try just giving in to a treat a little…
  • You sound so much like me!! I'm 48 and would love to get back to jogging but kept thinking I'm getting to old or I'm too heavy. You have alread inspired me to try!! Thank you!!
  • BMI is used alot in the medical industry in billing. The higher the BMI, the more complicated a procedure. Therefore, the doctors put the BMIs in their reports so they can get more money for "complicated procedures".
  • I thought so too! Even when I was slim in m 20s and 30s, I was never ever a size 2 or 4. When I was a size 5/6, people used to think I was on drugs cuz I was too skinny. I am aiming at 170-175 lb and size 10/12.

  • How do you post pictures?
  • I can totally understand it getting out of control and it wasn't JUST your post, it was some others I read today too about asking for motivation like it was a bad thing, I mean, aren't we all here for the same things? Well maybe not all and there are those that like to cause drama and start fights but that wasn't my…
  • Thanks for owning up and yeah I guess it was. Even on your own page you say you want to help people acheive their goals and after losing 200 lbs (wow!!) you certainly could be an inspiration to many (and I am sure you are) if we just let people seek out friends by beg, borrow or stealing them
  • I don't live in Bend, but I'm just south of there a few hours, near Medford. I hear Bend is a great place and have friends that live there. Lots of outdoors stuff, skiing, hiking, fishing...
  • So true!!
