You can do it! Remember, if you fall off the wagon, just jump right back on. It's all trial and error until you can find what works best for you and things will start to click into place.

*This* is what I was attempting to explain in my reply. Fat bombs are completely unnecessary and are just adding calories for calories sake.

There are a lot of people out there that live by the rule that you MUST add fat with keto, but it's simply not true. Is your goal weight loss? If so, don't sweat not reaching those fat "goals." There's no need to drizzle butter and oil on everything, and there's no need to be terrified of going a little over on protein,…

With any diet, keto or not, it really does all boil down to calories in and calories out. The above poster is right - The reason a lot of people say you don't need to count on keto is because you're more easily satiated, so many people are successful without counting calories. Having started out quite heavy myself, it…

It really depends on your body and how much your moving. Stick with it for a while (and for a while I mean at least a few weeks). If you're losing, add 200 calories and try again until you find your sweet spot.

Hi there! I've lost over 100lbs to get down to weight to enlist in the Army, and I just found out this afternoon that I'm going to MEPS this week. Find what works for you and stick with it - Consistency is key! The motivation for being able to swear in is what's really kept me going, hopefully it helps you out, too. Feel…

The best diet is the one that you can stick with that works for you. I do keto and love it, but I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, either.

Hey Mike! I was wondering if I would ever see anyone else active in this group. :) A year ago I was 295lbs, and just this week I hit the amazing 199. I'm planning to enlist active duty, either Air Force or Army. Have you actually spoken with a recruiter yet? Taping/body fat measurements are sometimes easier to pass than…

Keto still requires restricting calories. I've been on it long term with great success, but it's still CICO. It works for me because it helps with satiety, and now that I've been doing it for a while, my cravings for things like sugary treats have completely diminished. It's not a magic diet, it still takes dedication, but…

I've used it before, mainly for pancakes, which turned out really great. I've been keto for a while, which is why I haven't been using it for quite some time, so I can't speak for any blood sugar spikes - Never checked!

I have the Fitbit Charge 2 and I love it. I bought it used off of someone for $60. I've been using it solid for about three months now and it seems to be fairly accurate in relation to how much weight I've lost.

Take it at your own pace! I just got home from W6D3, and I'm nowhere near in shape, and I'm not on track at all to complete a 5K in 30 minutes. However, my stamina is increasing, and later I can work on speed. Repeat days if you have to, but most of all, don't give up!

I like to make egg cups in a muffin tin on the weekends and freeze them. You could add meats, vegetables, cheeses... A single egg (I usually scramble mine) and a little bit of toppings fills one muffin cup. They're even good to eat cold.

Definitely just give it a shot. You can always adjust as you go, and it will decrease as you lose weight. For instance, my current goal is 1,800 but I'm a 250lb woman. It takes a lot for us to have maintained the weight that we're at, so it seems almost shocking when you see just how many calories you can actually eat and…

Are you certain 1,200 is what you should be eating at? That is the base of what anyone should be getting if they are totally sedentary. I personally believe MFP often underestimates what people should be eating, but that also depends on what you chose for a goal to lose per week. Since you must have less to lose than some…

It's whatever works for you. Low carb is what works best for me. It helps keep me fuller and I have less cravings once I've gotten into it for a while. It's definitely not for everyone.

I can totally relate to these reasons. The fact that you've already begun and have tasted the first bit of success is fantastic. Now keep it going! Don't put yourself down for not making more drastic changes, but instead focus on adding one new habit every week. Stick with it. Pick yourself back up if you fall down. We're…

You've got this! It'll be a rocky road, but all it requires is a bit of motivation and persistence. Keep pushing through even when the going gets tough!

It takes a while for the bacteria within your stomach to adjust to the changes. Make sure you stay hydrated and get a decent amount of fiber. (And your electrolytes!) Also, there is a keto group on here, and I'd highly recommend the one on reddit if you want a more specialized place to ask questions.

Coconut oil is nothing magical. If you want to eat it, eat it. If you don't, don't. And this is coming from someone on a ketogenic diet. Do what works best for you.

Omg, you're looking awesome!

I use Kerrygold Pure Irish Butter. Doesn't get any more simplistic in lists of ingredients and damn it's delicious!

Some also subtract sugar alcohols as well to get net carbs.
