Hi! Welcome! Feel free to add me if you'd like!

This is definitely something I deal with in my relationship and the struggle is real. First off, ignore everyone who tells you that he is the unreasonable one for not wanting to eat your food. That is ridiculous. When I have asked for advice or help, I have been on the receiving end of a bunch of people saying "well I…

There are a few things going on here, and hopefully being aware will help make things better. First of all, this pattern of see the place, read the special, pull in for a quick treat has been specially formulated, created and curated by teams of highly trained specialists (sales, marketing, etc) who are dedicated to making…

I have over 1000 day streak, have been slacking on logging, but am working to tighten that up. My goal is ~2000/day and I am diet agnostic. Feel free to add me!

Hi there. I am so sorry to hear how rough things have been for you. I can assure you that you are in good company. I lost 50lbs in 6 months in 2012. I was so excited and happy. Then I got sick, landed in the hospital, nearly ended up homeless when my insurance didn't pay out and then started university. Through all of…

What kind of recipes? What do you like? Have you tried asking Google?

I allow myself to eat a little more than usual. By allowing myself to indulge in my period cravings, I'm able to have just a little bit rather than forbidding myself to eat the stuff I crave, feeling tortured and then bingeing on all the things to "rebel". I'm finding that with time, it's getting easier and easier to delay…

Have you, uh, tried to find recipes? Because a browse through Pinterest or quick Google search comes up with more recipes than you'll know what to do with.

I have run into similar situations a lot and it really bother me too. It's pretty much undisputed at this point that eating more plants is good for our bodies and the environment. However, I also think that there gets to be a point of diminishing returns. Sure, we're eating fewer animals, but we're also expanding farmland…

On one hand, you seem to understand that you're eating too much, on the other, you're trying to shift responsibility for your self control over to the internet. We can't make you eat reasonable portions. Only you can do that.

Hi! I started off with 160 to lose, I still have 120 to go, 90 to get to the very upper limit of a healthy BMI. Feel free to add me. I have an open diary that reflects a mixture of home cooking, ready-made food and food on the go.

When I was at my heaviest and not watching what I was eating, easily between 10-15 lbs (that would all come off afterwards). The last few cycles I've put on 3-5 lbs, but then was followed by a whoosh. That has been pretty awesome.

Welcome! You can do it!

In general we don't work out together. He would have to work out in order for there to be a chance for us to work out together. I like working out alone though so it's okay. We will sometimes go swimming or for walks or to archery together. I'm trying to get him to go for the occasional bike ride with me.

It depends what kind of a deficit I'm at and how I'm feeling. I find maintaining a 2lb/week loss to be exhausting, especially because I have other things going on in my life. Sometime's it's easier for me to take 2-3 week breaks at maintenance so I can focus on more pressing things. For example, I took a 3 week maintenance…

+1 for this method. Typically I batch cook for a week so it all evens out by the end of the week. In other situations, the difference is usually small enough that it doesn't affect my progress towards my goals.

If your son has a set list of food he is willing to eat, then why are you posting here? Most of us will not understand your son's needs like you will and those needs have nothing to do with requiring "kid-friendly" food (which is really just junk food).

I still have about 115 to lose. Feel free to add me.

I recently got an Apple Watch. I love it and I use it for swimming all the time. (Just note that only Series 2 can be used for swimming)

Pasta is one of those foods that make me sad because 1 serving just isn't satisfying and it's pretty calorie dense. It's also not as good without garlic bread. Luckily I've never been one to get excited about pasta (potatoes are my starch of choice) so I don't feel like I'm missing out by not having it very often. When I…

I love Kind bars. The peanut butter dark chocolate is my favorite, but I don't think I've had a flavour that I don't like. I fond them to be much more satisfying and less cakey than most other bars. At around 200 calories each, they make a great snack when I'm on the run or have forgotten to pack my snack.

Can add me if you'd like.

Best of luck in your journey. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I love the food so I eat as much of it as I can. I'm not sure that I would be able to fit raw vegan into my lifestyle because of all the additional prep and planning involved, but would love to see what you end up eating. Do you have an open diary?

MFP does have the ability to disable adding exercise calories to your goal, but it is a premium feature. What other people usually do is log exercise as 1 calorie. ETA: I use a hybrid of the MFP approach of adding exercise calories and including them in my goal. I set my deficit to be ~750 calories/day (so 1.5 lbs/week)…

I log it as strength training, but reduce the calories burned down to 5 or 10.

Both. I don't think I could ever choose one over the other. They both have their benefits and I love both.

What I usually have to buy weekly: -celery -spinach -bread (I love quinoa flax bread) -broccoli -club soda -eggs -apples -snap peas -baby carrots -soy milk -cottage cheese What I buy about monthly: -pepperoni sticks -cheese portions -frozen stir fry vegetables -canned tomatoes -cheddar cheese slices Staples I keep on hand…
