I have a lot of the same on mine as well. I haven't been able to eat fish I liked. It looks good I just can't get over texture and taste. I keep trying though.0 -
I shop for 4 adults, and you don't want to see what I often find on the grocery list. For me, I want to be sure and have eggs, milk, pizza making supplies, a variety of beef, pork, chicken, and turkey, and a variety of fresh vegetables, potatoes, and legumes.1
-
My grocery trips depend largely on what's on sale in the ad that week, combined with coupons.
So for me, today it was:
Bananas
Digiorno Pizzas
Ice cream
Water
Pepsi Max
Boneless Chicken Breast
Boneless Chicken Tenderloins
Potatoes
Turkey Deli Meat
Hoagie Rolls
Ketchup
Crockpot seasoning
French's Fried Onions
Quaker Instant Oatmeal
Yoplait Dippers Yogurt
Milk
Frozen French Fries
Frozen Breakfast Burritos
Orange Juice
Havarti Cheese1 -
Exactly what items will depend on what I'll be making/what I fancy/what's in season, but my shopping list has 4 categories: 1) ingredients for dinner, 2) fresh fruit, 3) raw vegetables, 4) staples I'm running out of. I usually shop twice weekly, so I buy what I'll need for the next 3 or 4 days. If I stumble upon a bargain, I'll pick that up too. Tomorrow is shopping day, and I'll be making risotto, so I'll be buying mushrooms, onion, maybe parsley, some fruit, and 1-2 varieties of vegs, maybe cucumber, cauliflower, broccoli or kohlrabi. And maybe milk.1

What I usually have to buy weekly:
-celery
-spinach
-bread (I love quinoa flax bread)
-broccoli
-club soda
-eggs
-apples
-snap peas
-baby carrots
-soy milk
-cottage cheese
What I buy about monthly:
-pepperoni sticks
-cheese portions
-frozen stir fry vegetables
-canned tomatoes
-cheddar cheese slices
Staples I keep on hand (and therefore purchase when I am out):
-red lentils
-refried beans
-chicken breast - I buy these in bulk when they go on sale and then wrap and freeze them individually
-black beans
-chick peas
-shrimp1 -
This week's list for my family:
Apples
Salad greens
Onions
Carrots
Green peppers
Potatoes
Chicken
Cheddar cheese
Eggs
Tuna
Canned fruit
Flour
Butter
Boxed mac & cheese
Rice
Frozen vegetables
Frozen ravioli

i don't run a very regimented meal schedule. mostly mcgyver my grocery shopping around what's in the fridge that i would like to use up, plus whatever's on sale at the store, plus whatever i'm about to run out of/will need to complete whatever i'm thinking i'll make this week based on the first two factors. i think i also only think about three days ahead, because usually by the time i've used up three days' worth of things, there's a new crop of 'whatevers' left in the fridge for me to improvise with.
my other hangup is trying to make sure i'll have enough out-of-hand stuff to take to work. so lots of fruit and carrots lately. and i've started buying the kind of boxed cereals you can pour into a baggie and eat dry while you work.2 -

Love all the comments. I have a lot of the same items. And picked up a few ideas from you all.
I'm not a fan of shopping at all so I tend to stick with the same ol same. I need to branch out for sure.0 -

I order mine by the case! I hate to run out.1 -
I only shop the produce, meat, dairy section and occasionally the frozen and canned goods for certain items. Everything else I order off the internet. I can't stand the grocery store. The store that I shop at (for the best prices) is kind of like they opened all the cage doors at the zoo.
Bananas, broccoli, cauliflower, green onions, bell peppers are always at the top of the produce list and then I fill in with other veggies depending on the recipes that I fix.
Meats consist of chicken breasts and ground turkey. Occasionally I buy ground beef or some type of pork.
In the dairy section I hit up the cheese aisle, eggs, almond milk, greek yogurt, cream cheese and sour cream.
In my pantry I always have rice, beans, peanut butter, chicken broth, canned tomatoes, canned tuna, honey and all my baking goods. I try to buy all my staples online along with my cleaning and toiletries.
By ordering online I have gotten my weekly grocery shopping down to about 20 minutes.2 -
Red leaf, romaine, just all the lettuce in general
Tomatos
Cucumbers
Deli Turkey
Chicken Sausage
Mushrooms
Protein Bars
Hot Sauce
Half and Half
Coffee
Yeah....I'm pretty deep in it right now. I love having my drinks and a dinner on the weekend so I get a bit extreme during the week.1
