  • I don't have problems with reflux, but my husband has in the past. I would rather avoid medications, and he take's enough different medications, so I look things up on the internet. My favorite site is Earthclinic.com. I would suggest ginger. For him, I just cutt a chunk of fresh ginger, and made a ginger tea, let it steep…
  • This, most dorms have a floor microwave, at least my daughters did. Put it all in a gallon zip lock bag and cook in your favorite coffee cup.
  • Good for you, hard work pays off. Be proud of yourself, and show off your cute figure at the wedding
  • That is really hard, unfortunately we can not make decisions for others to be healthy. Try sitting down and talking to him, about your concerns for yourself, but also him. Let him know how much the heart attack scared you, and how you felt about the fear of loosing him. He may or may not be able to get it. I applaud you…
  • I don't know about recipes, but perhaps some grilled chicken (some some type of lemon marinade?) a nice green/spinach salad, broccoli or asparagus, a small sweet potato (for a starch). Angel food cake with strawberries for dessert.
  • Yep, the only way to say I fit into the same size jeans that I did 10 years ago (in high school), whatever, is if you have the jeans from back then to slip into, some people do, I do not. The number is not as important as how you feel/look wearing them.
  • Hang in there, I am sure it is harder living in the dorms, my daughter is also in college, she is a sophomore and in a apartment this year, so that helps. When you are in the cafe, make the best choices you can, are there hard boiled eggs?. Oatmeal is always a good breakfast, add almonds or walnuts to get some protein in.…

  • I am so sorry for your loss of your parents. I have also lost both parents, so I can relate. While neither was on Valentines day, a day everyone makes such a big deal about, I know it is so much a reminder for you, not a easy day to let slip by on the calender. You'r mom would want you to try to be happy, spend some time…
  • Peanut Butter on wheat bread, tuna (single serving foil pack) with a salad, fruit is always good, cereal, protein bars or shake, I take the powder and just add water and ice for a dinner.
  • I can just say after the fact, the the 49er's were awesome, my husband got tickets and we were 5 rows from the end zone, and it was fun!!! 49er all the way
  • I got some bad blisters doing a Avon walk several years ago, they had Nurses caring for them along the way, basically like previously stated, they cleaned my feet, then used a sterile needle to pop them, and cleaned them out, then covered them. I finished the walk, but my toes were painful for days after. Make sure you…
  • I have been on here since August, and have struggled with motivation to exercise. I have had periods of time when I regularly got the exercise in, and felt good about it, and then life took a turn, and I have not been motivated to get back to exercise. I know it is good for me, and I intend to get back at it, just have to…
  • November 10th............
  • In your pictures, you have an adorable figure, perhaps you need to lose the boyfriend (just kidding), but seriously your weight is fine. I think you are on the right track with the exercise, it sound like you want to tone up, that's what I need to do, also. I have seen lots of people using different work out DVD's, so if…
  • I agree, you should talk with your doctor. If you have fought this battle before, you may need help to get beyond this, and to help prevent this again. Don't feel like the doctor will be hard on you, their job is to help keep you healthy. Eating properly will help you stay healthy.
  • In the frozen section, frozen garlic, basil and sometime pepper. I like there nuts. Their Peppermint Candy Cane tea, is the best. You can find some great things, if you look around.
  • Do a search for Crock Pot, in the community post, there are many you can find. Also check out pinterest, there are a bunch of great ideas there, some for immediate use, others to freeze then cook. Good luck.
  • Bump.... I add cinnamon to many things for extra flavor. I have also added EmergenC or Airborne to my vanilla protein powder, it adds flavor and gives me a bump of vitamin C
  • That is hard, when you don't have support from a friend or family member. Keep in mind that you are doing this for you. Hook up with some friends on this site, and let them encourage you. You seem to have done a awesome job so far, especially with no encouragement at home. Keep in mind, that they may not want to make a…
  • Be good rest of the week, and pick which ever is your favorite. Me, I would go with the Rocky Road, if you have not been eating sweets, and you have had a meal, you may not be able to finish it. You can eat desert, and still live to tell about it. Enjoy the Christmas Party!!
  • I have a Red Chai Tea, that I really like, also a Candy Cane/peppermint that I love.

  • Just drink it as water, it add's some flavor, but is not a meal.
  • Good for you! You look great, welcome to ONEderland, enjoy your reward, and the cruise. What a sweet man.
  • sixsisters, I find great ideas on pinterest.
  • Yumm!! I too love just about anything pumpkin.
  • Wow! I work in health care, with Women and Children's health, so I see overweight women having babies, the biggest risk with this may be gestational diabetes. Not every over weight woman ends up with gestational diabetes, and not each gestational diabetic is overweight. Many women make much much worse decisions during…
  • I pretty much always go over my sugar, unless I don't eat any fruit, or drink any milk during a given day. I have read other threads, with this discussed, and that seems to be the prevailing theme. Certainly you are wise to be concerned with a strong family history of diabetes.
  • This is an endurance event, a marathon, not a sprint. It is day by day, week by week, month by month. You did not gain overnight, and you will not lose it overnight. Be patient, stick with it, cheer yourself on when you have small victories, even if that is just logging every single thing you eat, drink extra water. Most…
  • I'm in, I think. I always worry about making a commitment, that I can't stick to. I hope I can do it.
