Watch out for the sugar contents in fruits? If you're using unsweetened frozen fruits the sugar is all-natural. Fruits are good for you.

Great post man; everything was very well said but I especially liked the hatred of the co-worker caveat.

Deficit of 250 a day for .5 lb loss a week, 500 for 1 lb, 1000 for 2 lb. Fixed your post.

Hiking in snow is a lot of fun too as is running in it.

I faltered yesterday. I finished the second bottle and then just forgot to drink the other half bottle so I finished with 54 fl oz instead of 64 and didn't feel like drinking right before bed so I'll work on the rest of the month. Today's a new day right?
-
Hahahaha thanks.

I likened it to shock and awe videos by PETA for animal cruelty. I wasn't suggesting the movie is all about animal cruelty.

Does this go for regular hill walking too? Because I love speed walking up hills as it really gets my heart rate to climb or at least used to. It doesn't seem to climb as much these days. I guess I just need to push even faster. I can't wait till the weather improves so I can climb the Grouse Grind. It's 2.9K and starts at…

Changed my mind I think I'm going to take a look. I'm at times very thankful I live in Canada rather than the states.
-
I'd love to join if I'm not too late. I'm about to finish bottle number two leaving me half a bottle to go.
-
I've done that sooooooo many times.

I didn't think of the company going under that's a really fair point. I just don't like the idea that you need to pay a subscription fee in the first place. I'll stick with my heart rate monitor.
-
You know you have to pay a monthly subscription right?
-
I've struggled with this for a long time but I'm working on it. I have a 27 fl oz bottle and since getting it last week I've done pretty well getting in my 2.5 bottles but sometimes it can be a struggle. This is a great challenge by the way.

I'm not entirely ignorant I know a lot of what's in there but I don't need to see it. Just like I don't need to see PETA's videos to know that there is animal cruelty going on.

As ultima said previously. Fats are good for you they keep you feeling fuller longer. Healthy fats that is. But I'll say it again. See a nutritionist. Your trainer, Jillian Michaels, et cetera are not professionals in the field of nutrition. That is unless your trainer is a certified nutritionist, find that out before you…
-
Is that like a homeopath?
-
If you can afford it see a nutritionist. Don't pay attention to your trainer or anyone else because only a nutritionist is going to know what you need. Anything else is just a best guess. If you can't afford a nutritionist than experiment, try them all for a certain length of time and see which you feel best on.

I'm sooooooo not watching that. I would much rather stay semi-ignorant than go there.

01/05/11: 5/7 8 min Abs and Swiss ball for 15 minutes Trail-walk: 14m58s, 1.1 mile. 01/06/11: 6/7 8 min Abs Stair-walking Step-Circuit: 19m50s
-
01/05/11: 1.1 miles but we'll say 1 to make things easier. 01/06/11: 1 mile as well.

I want to be able to jog, run and sprint. I don't like this being side-lined bull crap. I'm only getting in 2-3K steps a day it's downright depressing. The HJ-112 is useless when it comes to Airdyne/stationary bikes just so you know. I rode 8.2 miles the other day and my 112 told me I did 500 steps. It measures running and…

Heart rate monitors are great I love that they can make it so you push yourself harder. You can without one too but most people I would say don't really have an accurate idea of their RPE(Rated Perceived Exertion) and a heart rate monitor is great for that alone. But, I swore the F4 didn't have the calories burned…
-
I laughed when I read the title of the thread because of what Lyadeia already mentioned. An entire CD! Definitely log those calories, that would be a nice little calorie burn there.

I would suggest Leslie's walking videos as well. Another thing I would recommend is some kind of resistance training, even just bodyweight exercises would help a lot. What is the medical condition and where does it hurt? Knowing that would help to give better recommendations. Also, Leslie Sansome has a couple of free…

Women have a very hard time bulking up when training with weights it's not impossible but it's pretty difficult. They will tend to just get stronger and sculpt those areas rather than bulk up. Strength training is a great idea though. Check out "New Rules for Lifting For Women". It seems to be the go to book for women.

Doesn't use your heart rate, your V02 Max, your exertion during the exercise. Going to have to say this one is a fail. It's far too generic.
-
Aquafit is great. I did it several years ago and at the time it put me in the best shape of my life until recently. It's fun too or at least can be and the harder you push yourself the more you'll get out of it.

I have actually vomited from drinking too much water and it takes A LOT of water to do it. I didn't know at the time that's what I had done though.
-
As people have mentioned. Yes you can but it takes an obscene amount of water. Rather than go by how many glasses you should drink. Using this chart you can figure out how much to drink without overdoing it. http://www.urinecolors.com/dehydration.php
