  • For NCAA sports I am a UK alum and been a UK fan all of my life so there is no way that I could date a UofL or Duke fan. For NFL I love the Steelers and would not be able to date a Ravens or a Cowboys fan. Those four are my only restrictions, but to let you know how much I don't like those teams, as a die hard democrat, I…
  • Definitely try different types of squash. My favorites are butternut, zucchini, spaghetti, and summer yellow squash. Butternut squash is great roasted or mashed. I also do a chicken stir fry that has snow peas, zucchini, red bell peppers, and onions. As far a broccoli I am not a fan of plain steamed broccoli I do like it…
  • I can make a breakfast wrap for right at 200 calories. 1 grade A large egg 1/8 cup of finely shredded colby jack cheese 1 ole high fiber low carb tortilla 1/4 cup diced tomatoes baby spinach A very healthy and filling breakfast. I know you only mentioned the egg white but I personally like using the whole egg. You could…
  • I know from experience. I stop logging I gain back the weight. I plan on logging for the rest of my life in some way.
  • I saw the same thing.
  • I only have one strict rule. Log everything. In the past I have lost weight and then decided I didn't need to log anymore. I gained the weight right back. I now know that to lose weight and to keep it off, I have to log everything I eat. Even if I have a bad day it helps me to know everything I ate.
  • Day 7 done. i had thought I was going to take the day off. Then as I was sitting here watching tv tonight I was feeling guilty for not doing my workout. The workout was harder today for me than it has been since day 3. I'm not sure if its because I needed to take the day off or if its because it was so late in the day.…
  • For me its not about a weight but more about how toned I am and how the bikini makes my body look. I'm 5'8" and in high school I weighed 145, which is actually a very good weight for me, unfortunately I was very soft, you could almost say "skinny fat". So I didn't like how my body looked in a bikini. As I lose weight this…
  • You should add peanut butter or almond butter to your smoothies. My favorite is banana and almond butter.
  • I use circuit training also. I don't have a HRM to know my exact calories burned but the estimate given by MFP is in the same range as other people who actually use an HRM, within 50 calories or so. Since I usually only eat back a small amount of my exercise calories I figure that the estimate is close enough until I can…

  • I don't plan on moving on before day 10. This is my first serious workout program and I feel that I should follow the plan to get the maximum results. Just my opinion. Just 4 more workouts, then its on to level 2.
  • I finished day 6 level 1 today. It definitely gets easier but my arms and legs are still like jello when I finish. I am sore each morning but the workout makes the soreness go away.
  • Yay. Day 6 done. I am doing 3 lb weights for everything now. Could probably use a bit heavier to the back rows and the butterflys. I have so much more energy now. I will be measuring tomorrow so we will see how I'm doing after 1 week. Way to go everyone.

  • Day 5 complete. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it today as I spent another day at the hospital with my niece but she was discharged for the weekend and I got home around 5:30. I knew I would be mad at myself if I didn't go ahead and get it done. I did increase my weights for this workout and was able to do it,…
  • Completed day four in the late morning. I was so happy, today was the first day that I did all 3 circuits without having to take a breaak. I am still doing the modified pushups but I am doing the complete range of motion for all of the other strength moves. My arms and chest were so sore this morning but felt better after…
  • Will be doing it in about half an hour but not looking forward to it. My arms are so sore this morning. Hopefully they will loosen up some.
  • My arms were killing me also, before and after the workout. I just took a hot bath and it helped my muscles a lot. Still a little sore but nothing like I was.
  • Day 3 done. Yay. My arms were so sore this morning I didn't know if I would be able to do it, but I did. t was still a hard workout but I only had to take two 5 second rests today. Doing much better. Great job everyone. Just 27 more days to go.
  • What is it about the jumping jacks and the jump rope? They are a killer.
  • I use the circuit training general and put in 20 minutes and let MFP calculate the calories. I know its not exact but since I don't have a HRM its the closest thing I've got right now.
  • The devices don't have to be anything fancy. Any grocery store or discount store like Walmart or Target will have them. I would get a set of dry measuring cups, they usually come in 1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup, and 1/4 cup, I would also get a measuring cup for liquids Some people use a food scale to weigh their food, but that…
  • You mentioned that fresh veggies are expensive. I suggest you try the frozen ones. They tend to be frozen as soon as they harvested so you aren't really loosing any nutrition.
  • Not sure yet. It will depend on how I feel since I have never done anything like this before.
  • Day 2 is done. Today was much better. I dropped the amount of weight I was using today from 3 lb weights to 1.5 lb weights. I know it's not a lot of weight but I was able to do all the strenght moves today without any breaks. The jumping jacks are what gets me. I'm not sure why they are worse than anything else but to me…
  • Carrots and Celery are my favorite. If you are not staying away from Carbs altogether I like to use a thin layer on my sandwiches and wraps. Especially the roasted red pepper flavor.
  • Roasted Red Pepper hummus with carrots Light Yogurt, especially key lime pie flavor For something sweet with fiber I love the Kashi Chocolate and Almond Butter Soft Baked Cookies. Very filling for 130 calories.
