Gaining a little weight when you shift your caloric intake isn't a bad thing. The liver has to work to accommodate the shift in carbohydrate balance and it does so with water, which usually leads to a transient increase in body weight. This also includes a subsequent boost to the metabolic rate! Based on your activity…

Bad *kitten* yo! I will put together a good 'butt' routine and send you the link homie :)

Got yo back homie ;) for starters it has a lot to do with the energy systems during different modes of exercise. At leangains.com the primary workout protocol seems to favor alternating lift days with cardio days. That means on the days you lift the main energy system being used (for exercise) is anerobic glycolysis which…

The two primary forms of motivation are recognition of ones negative standing (like hitting rock bottom) AND small successes one must also recognize. I just noticed you mention the desire to be 'skinny' when it will probably serve you better to say, and internalize, 'I want to be one pound lighter this week.' Phrases like…

If you check with your local community colleges they usually offer free skin fold body composition testing, which is a little more accurate than hip ratio testing. I mention it cuz honestly 29% sounds a little high based on your pics :)

Whats your mode of testing for body fat %?

Cardiovascular training is good for burning excess calories and if you wanted to target those calories in the form of carbs (glucose) higher intensity / short duration training should do the trick ;)

I work at a gym and my coworkers do that ALL THE TIME. At first I said, 'No! For the love of...' But, being business savvy, I now accept the candies and cakes and chips and junk...and sell them to my clients striving to gain weight! ha ha jk, basically I got used to it cuz after years of temptations from within the gym I…

Pizza Hut, KFC, McDonalds, Burger King and Sonic...BUT not a single Taco Bell??? Wth? I even live in the southwest! There should be tacos galore! Ha ha

Short answer: yes, unless there is a REALLY dramatic difference between the percentage of each nutrient

I've worked in a gym for ten years. Here are your exploratory topics: If your gym has child care ask them if they have children and then show them the childcare. HUGE selling point. Be familiar with all the equipment your gym has and then ask them where they've worked out in the past, what they liked and didn't like about…

Soda's, even regular calorie sodas, are not all the same. If they're typically a trigger for others but not so much with you, its because of the brand of soda and its composition? What kind of soda's are you referring to? Canned soda? Bottled? Fountain? They have different formulas and maybe you've stumbled upon a variable…

Good plan yo :) I suggest making sure resistance training constitutes AT LEAST 30 minutes of your workout (i.e. weight training, swimming, stuff like that). Also wanna keep in mind 1200 cals is the absolute lowest you should ever go so it might be difficult starting that low (the body matches your caloric intake with its…

There is also a large correlation between those who eat fast and are on the go also. One of the worst things anyone can do is eat and then get on their feet right away. Digestion requires blood to get to the digestive system and if you eat quickly and head back the the 'grind' immediately (physical activity and or mental…

When you become active and exercise with both resistance training and cardio body WEIGHT becomes a much poorer guage of overall fitness. Unfortunately this includes Body Mass Index (BMI), which is only designed to account for weight and height. Circumference Measurements and estimated percent body fat are much more useful…
