  • Read the boards for a bit and you'll see there are a thousand different ways to 'do it'. For me just starting with logging what I eat and do for the first few days was a good way to start - just doing that helps teach you a lot about portion sizes and what calories are 'worth it' and which are not. While doing that read…
  • At the point someone is stocking you that much they already know everything they need to know. I refuse to live my life in such fear, or worse think I'm safe because I didn't put stick figures on my car.
  • Awesome as always! I think what I love about you and your success is that you never come off as preachy or put yourself out there as an expert. You understand that there isn't just one way to do things. Keep on being you, I love it!
  • There are so many ways intelligence, or lack thereof, manifests itself. I wouldn't date someone who was a loud mouth idiot that argues with everyone because they think they are always right, but if there is a nice decent person who is always striving to learn, even if it doesn't come easy to them, then I wouldn't not date…
  • The protein goals on MFP should be considered minimums (and even at that, the default setting is too low).
  • Why would you post this? How is this helpful?
  • Just take some normal street smart precautions (go during the day, not on secluded trails, pay attention, maybe don't wear headphones if being able to hear what is going on around you is comforting (or wear them if being distracted helps your anxiety) and go running. Find a friend or neighbor that has a dog and offer to…
  • The best thing you can do if you are sore is get moving and warm up the muscles.
  • Patience. The way you are doing it is the right way. Ignore the number on the scale - who cares what the measure of the gravitational pull of the earth on your body is? Your whole body cares that you've lost fat and are healthier! I've lost weight on the scale but nothing is fitting any better - I'd way rather it be the…

  • If your BMR is 1800ish you shouldn't be eating under that number...
  • Calisthetics is what I use.
  • Log it as calesthentics or aerobics.
  • My glass is always at least half full... You just don't always know what's in it! I am a very positive person, but I'm also very realistic. I don't think you have to be oblivious in order to be happy and look on the bright side of things and always hope for the best. I always hope for the best but prepare for all outcomes.
  • You have some confusion the first day you use it so are going to junk it? Who cares if your numbers are messed up today - you know what they really are so it's not like you are going to eat back an extra 2000 exercise calories back or anything. Relax!
  • Perhaps some paranoia is in order...
  • you look great... but your face is in your profile pic so you need to do a better job of being paranoid. :D
  • While you get fanatics on both sides, it's mostly a personal choice... Whichever way makes it more likely for you to stick with an exercise program is best.
  • Probably - but people are going to want your specifics (height/weight/etc) before they can give you an informed answer. :)
  • Don't concentrate on the numbers (as in how much you have to lose). Concentrate on feeling better, being healthier, eating better, exercising. With time the weight will come off. That time will pass anyways, so make it count. You can do it!!
  • If you have your weight loss goal set to 2lbs a week that is very unrealistic... At most you want it set to 1lb, and more realistic loss to expect is .5lb.
  • I would recalculate your TDEE, 1500 hundred sounds low, depending on what you set your activity level at. I weigh 180 and at lightly active (exercising 2-3 times a week) my TDEE -20% is around 1550.
  • It's hear to tell without seeing your face and you are wearing a skirt in one picture so can't compare legs, but the waist looks smaller and you look great!. :)
  • The 2nd ones seem more vintage to me.
  • Green tea has caffine in it unless you specifically get the decaffinated kind.
  • I do 2 things that help at least get the ball rolling (once you get used to drinking water you really do crave it a little more - although I find that only last for a couple weeks before I have to start over again with the following...) - I set a timer on my phone to go off every 1/2 hour - when it goes off I have to take…
  • It really seems like you've got your numbers worked out, and may just need to be patient. I see 2 possible places where things are getting mixed up, and unfortunately (or not, depending on how you look at it) they are kind of opposite issues. One is you seem pretty active so maybe have your calories set to low. The other…
  • In other threads that have compared p90x to Insanity it said the p90x is a lot easier on the knees with similiar results. Although I also recall there are some equipment requirements in p90x (resistance bands, etc).
  • Sorry, you are not adding muscle, its nearly impossible, especially as a female, to gain muscle while eating at a calorie deficiet. And a pound of muscle weighs just as much as a pound of fat - it just takes up less space, so yes indeed use a measuring tape. And what is the point of 'tricks' to lose water weight? It's…
