Hey CT peeps. My name is Samantha. I have lived in CT most of my life. Cheshire (as a baby and toddler), Bloomfield(til I was 17), Bozrah (where my parents still live). After 7 years in NY my husband and I returned to CT and now I live in Waterbury. Nice to see so many here.

Definitely can see the difference. Good job.

I was just diagnosed. It happened by accident. I was suffering from fatigue and my Dr. put me on Wellbutrin. Right away it helped with the fatigue. I wasn't having to sleep 12 hours a day, but I didn't like it because I felt my creativity was gone. Then I realized I was focusing on tasks and chores and getting things done…

FYI anyone in CT, HOT HULA will be at the CT Health and Wellness Festival at the CT Convention Center on Sunday at 12 noon.

I used to have nausea doing certain intense exercises. It got better. I don't think I would do step aerobics if I had knee issues, or maybe use a really low step. You can also buy one of those knee braces. I know they sell them at my Walmart. I started jogging at 245. It made me so sick at first, but now I am loving it.

What do you mean? Is it that she is waving it in front of your face saying "come on you know you want to drink this"? Or is it just in the house? If it is just in the house, then I could accuse my entire family of trying to sabotage my healthy eating. My husband and kids enjoy homemade cookies, ice cream etc. I even…

Wow. Just 3 months. You are doing great. This is a great thread. All of the pics give me hope. I know I will lose the weight, but I am really worried about loose skin after 2 c-sections. But these pics show bellies just like mine before, that look great after. Awesome!

Great job!!!!

I don't agree about the more accessories, the less you work out your muscles. I use gloves with some equipment because my hands hurt if I don't. Using the gloves I am able to handle more weight and have better control on the exercise. From what I have read about the Manta Ray, it will probably help you avoid injury lifting…

I know that two years ago when I was trying to lose weight, I was at a gym that didn't have classes. I got bored after 2 months doing the same machines, free weights and cardio every few days. This time around I joined a gym that has classes, a track and daycare. It has been 4 months and there are no signs of boredom. I go…

Good for you that you went to the gym. I probably would have done the same thing years ago when I first used the machine, but I got a tour of the gym and they explained everything. Also great that you are not going to let it discourage you. You have to be able to smile at the little things and keep going. Also,…

Me too. I also notice that even if I give in and indulge a little it does not affect my progress at all.

You know what? You're right it is huge. Thanks.

Did you say you only had an apple for breakfast and fruits and veggies for lunch? Are you doing some sort of cleanse? If not and this is for weight loss you definitely need to add protien and fats as someone else mentioned. If you don't get enough fat you will get dieters brain…

You look amazing. Hope your treatments go well. Seeing your pics give me something to look forward to on my weight loss journey.

Wow!!! Great progress.

Congratulations!!! I am working on that goal as well. I jog pretty slow, but I can run a little over 2 miles now.

I spent 2 1/2 hours driving to NJ for fitness instructor training one way. My bodybugg showed that during the driving time I burned about 271 calories which is only 40 calories more than I burn in the same amount of time sleeping. I know everyone is different based on how much you weigh and your metabolism. Wait. this…

I just started running again and I am supper slow. I can do 2 miles but it takes me 25 minutes.

I am by no means an expert, but I don't think it will hurt you to be way under every once in a while. As long as it isn't the norm. You will probably eat something else tonight, but I wouldn't do it just to get my calories. I have over 900 left for today because I am not feeling well.
-
Not only do you look great, you look years younger. Very inspiring.

I understand why you would say that. I had one session early on and thought I was going to die. When I first started exercising again I would get tired out so easily. I started with things that were easy, but got my heart rate up. You will be amazed at how quickly your body will adjust. Three months ago, when I would do my…

I agree with this post. My husband doesn't ever comment on what I am eating. My strategy is similar to yours in that I eat about 350 each for breakfast and lunch when I am on my own and save the rest for dinner with the family. That way I can cook whatever they are used to and I am not hungry by bedtime. Men really can be…

Looking good.

Too true.

I can't believe no one responded to this. I love it. Did you try the class?
-
Yeah, I like him. I have only seen him in This Means War. My husband says he is also in the Batman movie from last year.

Exactly what I was thinking. I agree that fast food is not a good idea. I avoid it just because of the highly processed nature. I also limit it for my kids, but I was really confused by the quote that was used. Usually wasted energy means energy not used, not converted into fat or anything else. Like people who can eat…
