I couldn't agree more! I'm Stacie, mom of twin 13 month old girls and middle school teachers. I have such a hard time fitting in everything that needs to be done in a day that cooking and working out sometimes just seem to be too much.

OMG! What a week. I can't believe Spring Break was such a disaster in our world. Both girls are fighting ear infections and have surgery scheduled for this Friday. Mommy visited the doctor on both Monday and Wednesday. The steroids he prescribed were NOT friendly to the scale. I am so ready for everyone to be healthy. Now…

You guys are so amazing. Triathalons and 10K's!!! I can't even begin to imagine being at that point. I'm jealous of the week of Spring Break. I can't wait for ours. Luckily, there are only two days left of school, and one is a field trip to the zoo! Good Friday starts our week off. I hope to get plenty of fun exercise in…

I was a postee on this thread about three years ago, and then things got wild. I have 1 year old twins and would love to become involved again. I've lost about 28 pounds right now, and am finally pre-baby weight, but would love to lose at least 120 more.

I went to drop something off to my mother at work yesterday and when I walked in, her collegue greeted me with, "You look a lot smaller." I was so excited to hear it from someone who didn't know I working on losing weight.

Unless you want them to point out when they notice ypu gaining, don't expect them to point out you losing.

Some of this depends on what you included when you chose your activity level. For example, I am a teacher. I set my level to lightly active, because I am on my feet all day in the classroom. I did not factor in the time I planned to spend actively exercising. So when I add that in, it is additional to what MFP calculated…

I disagree. They are not woken up at all to what a problem this child is. They are defending her "bad day" and being upset that the school did anything about it.

I think number one looks nice, but is very inappropriate for a work function. As someone previously described it, it's "sexy hot". That is not the right description of a work event. Number two makes you look great and incredibly classy in my opinion. But I would definitly buy 1 for a night out.

This was ours too.

We tried to concieve for three and a half years. In 2011 I lost 45 pounds, and BAM! I am currently 12 weeks pregnant. Don't give up ladies. It will happen.

While my personal attractive thoughts go to the bottom row, I'm not sure I understand why it's ok to critique the "skinny" women this way? Would anyone be as accepting of this picture if it questioned the attractiveness of someone larger?

I dont know if this is what is happening, but I see a direct correlation between the amount of baking I do and the rise in my electric bill as well. The strange part, my stove is gas. For me, it's that running my oven severly raises the temperature in the house. From that, the AC has to work a lot more to bring it down.…

Yes, when you are excessively overweight you will drop weight fast in the beginning. IT's your body's adjustment to the changes you are making. Also, if you have implemented the daily water, soem of that is the water your body is no longer retaining.

Love this!

Drinking the water to "flush" the sodium is a great idea, but be warned, it may not happen in one day. It sometimes takes 3-4 days for me to flush the sodium out.

These sound yummy. I can't wait to make them.

I have to admit, to me, it sounds like some vanity. I also admit though, I have the same issue. I have worked really hard for it, and love when others notice. However, there is the flip side to the coin. Would we be equally happy if they pointed it out when we gained?

Its a lose-lose situation. If you compliment the weight loss and ask how they are doing it, and THEN find out it's an illness, people will feel terrible.

I do the same as sammy. I try and get in a double workout on Friday and Saturday morning to make up for the indulgences of the weekend. I figure as long as I don't gain on the weekend, I am happy.

I have to disagree here. Yes, athletes do take a day off. However, you are comparing something major to a 20 minute workout. I dont' think you can use the same theory.
-
Actually, this isn't doable for everyone. There are different body rythms for everyone, and some poeple simply need more sleep than others. I do not function on less than six and a half hours a night. There is no way this schedule would work for me.

I am going to disagree with 99% of the comments here. I don't think your friend was rude, insensitive, or jealous. I think she was being a good friend. While I may not always agree with my friends opinions, I would MUCH rather they give them to me honest, than sugarcoat them. Lets face it, if our friends are thinking it,…

I'll give the unpopular answer.... If it's only "Through the grapevine" that it was one lady, maybe that's the problem. If the supervisor felt the need to approach you about the attire, it seems like they have gotten more than one complaint about it.

I think there is a huge difference between loving the person and sexual attraction. IMO the two are not the same. I think there are men who still are very much in love with their wife, but don't feel the same level of attraction when the weight changes, either up or down. It works the same for women.

Yes, sugar from fruits and vegetables count. The daily fruit intake is suggested at 2 cups a day for this very reason.
