Push ups require core strength as well as upper body strength. Try doing planks to help build up your core strength. Push ups will then be easier.

Protein powder is actually quite economical. A 5lb jug will run approx $54 and contains about 74 servings. The serving size contains roughly 24 g of protein. Comes out to appox 0.73 per serving. Not a bad price when compared to other forms.

Diet is key. Do a variety of leg exercises likes squats, lunges, step ups, and straight leg deadlifts.

Now here's someone with some sense.

One of the simplest things I do for a protein shake is mix water with 1 scoop of protein and 1/2C quick oats. Protein, good carbs, and some fiber to fill you up.

I'm a personal trainer. A majority of my clients come to me to lose weight. I ask them about their diet. In every case, eating at restaurants is a common habit. Just an observation.

Sounds about right. Try it for a week or two and if not dropping, then chage it up. Good luck!

Instead of doing them everyday, try doing your workout every other day. Your muscles need some rest in order to rebuild and get stronger.

You can do several exercises for legs with just DBs. Look into Bulgarian Split Squats, Romanian Deadlifts, Step-ups, and various forms of Lunges (forward, reverse, side).

I follow paleo as close as possible. Have modified it a bit. For example, I take protein supplements. Unfortunately not a lot of wooly mammoths in the Chicago area to help me get my protein in. LOL

If you're strength training, it's best to eat before and after your workout.

It's common to take creatine post workout. As far as how many shakes per day, focus on protein grams per day. Try to get the majority of protein from whole food. The best time for a shake is post workout too.

"Power Training" by Robert dos Remedios. I am a personal traininer and have found this to be one of the best.

Probably. Muscle mass activation coupled with the right intensity has been know to increase test.

There's no reason why you can't do both. Do strength 3 days per week and cardio whenever you can.

I agree!

Excellent advice!

Rest between days.

A normal resting heart rate ranges anywhere from 60 to 100 beats a minute. Ideally, you would want yout HR to be lower at the lower range since it implies more efficient heart function and better cardiovascular fitness.

This is a good macro breakdown! Nice!

I wouldn't worry about it. When you exercise, the blood vessels in your muscles dilate and your blood flow increases. The increased blood flow delivers more oxygenated blood to the working muscle.
