  • Thanks for the advice.....I know I just need to do it :) I am going to try the alarm across the room...right now hubby gets up at 6 and I stay in bed until 7.....when the alarm goes off the light will go on (probably better warn hubby of this :) also I will have to go to bed before 10....say a little prayer for me for I…
  • Small step you say......I say HUGE step Congratulations....I can not wait to see a difference in my clothing....Summer is coming :)
  • I would say get in an exercise if you can......get some extra calories....and then just eat half of what you normally would....Good Luck!
  • Thank you all......I do think planning ahead is the best...I can hardly believe 2 months ago the calories I was putting in my mouth.....I do believe losing weight is the hardest think I have every done....and believe me I have tried many times.....I take my hat off and am so proud of you all who have been…
  • I am with you......HOW CAN IT BE.....we went to Applebees for lunch and had the Chicken Fajita Wrap....a whopping 520 for just half 1040 fjor it all so that was my day......or should I say it should have been. I think it makes a person hungrier....still ate supper.

  • It is important to log everyday GOOD or BAD.....it holds you accountable and in the months ahead you will have something to track...I have doubled my recommended calories in one night easy to do with a couple of drinks and snack foods that you just have to try each one :) Anyway logging on daily keeps your mind in the…
  • I have said over and over that I don't drink I don't do drugs but i am totally addicted to food. I do believe this is a full life time change I can never go back to a double bacon cheese burger and fries....it just isn't good for me....as fatal as drugs. I think this site is great....anytime you have strayed or feel like…
  • Good Job!!!! You are proof this works....hard work is what it took and you should be very proud of yourself :)
  • I was wondering the same thing....I remember a few years back reading an article about this in Womans day magazine and I think it was a girl who did it with her WW points and it was a success then. It sure sounds like it should work and keep our metabolism going...I have been with MFP almost 6 weeks and my calories are…
  • I wish I had that problem....I am rarely under calories....I have been on MFP since January and I am getting better...just proves I was putting way to much into my body. I have found if I stay very close to my goal calories and exercise is my best weeks of weight loss, so if you are more than a couple hundred calories…
  • Had my gall bladder out 24 years ago.....try staying away from dairy products or high acid foods such a tomato sauces...It is hard I was pregnant when mine started and by the end of my pregnancy it did not matter what food it was to set it off.
  • I don't have anything to back me up....but I believe it is all about how many calories you put in and how many you burn....shouldn't matter when you eat them. I too try to save my big meal for the evening because that is when my husband and I can eat together.
  • I am also wanting to lose 2 lbs a week.....I think you need to eat your calories (don't go over if you can help it...but don't let one day set you back) and exercise everyday! I do think it is possible...my goal is to be 200 by my daughters graduation in May....so I have a little longer than you. That is my short term…
  • I am with you on my high calorie days I have still logged my calories...I really think that it keeps my head in the game...I am afraid if I miss a day it will be too easy to stay away another and another and another....I have logged on 40 days and counting. My plan is to log on every day good or bad. Weekends can be a…
  • I think MENTAL Hunger is that you are bored....and bordom can be dangerous....so when you get those feelings get busy...I agree get on MFP and read the message boards..take a bath...read a book anything to take you mind off food. ALSO hunger sometimes hides behind being really thirsty...drink your water...I like ice water…
  • yes you can....keep reading these message boards and asking questions and talking out your feelings...that is what we are all here for...YOU CAN DO IT small steps. I liked the proverb that said something like "fall down 7 times pick yourself up 8 times" One thing you have to get through to yourself is nobody can do it for…
  • Don't give up.....I felt the same way today....I have been with MFP for a month...lost 7 lbs and for the last 4 days the old Lisa was back. I have tried every plan and lost but have seemed to gain it back. This is a lifestyle change and it will not be easy. I found by reading the message boards it has given me so much…
  • I try not to go to bed hungry....I save enough for light popcorn in the evening for a snack with Diet Pop. Sometimes when you think you are hungry you are really thirsty so before you eat try drinking a glass of water...I drink ice water because someone told me once that your body burned more calories warming up the…
  • I think during weight loss once a week is good...try same time same day I even go so far as same clothes. My day is Thursday morning as soon as I get up and go to the restroom before I shower. But I will say once i hit goal I plan on weighing every day i think it is to easy to let the pounds slip back catch them early :)
  • great post....I needed almost all 10 to make it through today.....and the 2 extra :) Someone told me "If you do what you always did you will get what you always had" Today is the day for change.
  • This is why I joined MFP....I was really down today and could have been easily just like any other plan I have started and stopped. I read what you all have to say and it inspires me to keep going.....one thing I learned tonight I am doing this for myself NO one else...my health my self worth ME :) and it feels good to say…
  • you all are what i needed...I am suppose to weigh in tomorrow and I am going to...I need to see the damage....I agree I need to get up and start my day with exercise :) that way I won't make excuses after work to go downstairs. you all are right this is something I have to do for myself (I want to do this for the very…
