Better than cake or something! You'll probably have some, er, digestive problems later, though. Been there, done that. You'll survive, and maybe the scale might go up tomorrow, but as long as you stay healthy on other days, no, you will not gain weight. :)

I can relate! I'm in university and have never had KFC, Arby's, Wendy's, Burger King, Taco Bell... probably too many others I can't think of. My family just never went there. We did have fast food-type pizza and McDonald's every once in a while, but the favourite was A&W. Now that I'm living on my own, I just have no…

Wow, you look awesome! Way to go, congrats :flowerforyou:

I asked this question a while ago, and someone told me that it could be your body using energy to digest the food... also I think your body is probably used to getting more sugar from your normal lunch of fruits and such, so that could also explain it a little. In the end, however, I'm no expert.

I think it sounds pretty good! It looks pretty similar to what I eat. I'm not a big meat eater (not a dieting thing, or a vegetarian thing, I just prefer eating other things), which I think is fine. Unless of course you're trying to bulk up your muscles.

Raisin bran, and cantaloupe (sometimes an apple). I know may people saw cereal doesn't fill them up but I don't seem to have that problem... in fact most days I don't get a chance to eat again until 4:00 ish, and I still don't get hungry very often. I think it's because I drink a lot of water.

Hooray for Bio! About the red meat, some sources say that low iron levels can be a factor in depression... so that might have something to do with it

At night, around 5, and then if my schedule allows it I'll take a 2 or 3 hour nap in the day

Thanks so much! The thing I alsays found hard to do was estimate my fat %, because I don't have a scale capable of it, or callipers (student life = too broke to buy some). The usual estimations didn't take enough measurements into account, and my BF % would always be way higher than I knew it was because I have a pretty…

No. I think it's better just to change your lifestyle and lose the weight a little slowly. In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter if you're bikini-ready in the next month? You (hopefully) have a long life ahead of you. If you take the time now to make a positive lifestyle change, you'll reap the benefits far…

Possibly one of the worst ideas ever, next to not eating at all.

I think bread, like anything, can be part of a healthy lifestyle, and indeed IS a part of a healthy lifestyle for most people on here.

Hey, I tried it and I couldn't get the custom button to work. If you're wondering, I'm using Safari. If it's a browser problem, you could try firefox.

Two words. Cheesecake Factory. One meal there for me is like three days worth of food... good thing I live in Canada

I think it's just eating an excessive amount of something, to the point where it is detrimental to your health or progress. There was actually a really funny thread a while back that asked what the weirdest thing people had binged on was... edit: Found the thread--…

Plugging your numbers into a TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) calculator, I got around 2200 cals. So it might be a little high. The only way to really tell is just to monitor whether you're gaining or losing, and then readjust. I used: http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html

I think it's good that you're being honest with yourself and still logging even though you overate. Overeating once in a while isn't going to kill your progress, so I'd say just continue on tomorrow and eat healthily. Don't try to compensate for the extra calories by over exercising or under eating -- just trust your body…

I'm one of those girls, I suppose. Here's the thing though: I'm 18 now, but I was an early bloomer. I got my curves, breasts, and my period all in middle school (12-14 years old). By the end of that time I was a size 8 and my body looked like that of a "young adult", and if someone were just to see my body and not my face,…

WOW. That's crazy awesome!

Way to go!!! 13 inches is amazing! Also, you're super cute :)

Oh, yes, massages are excellent rewards too :)

I do have "cheat days", but it's really just a day when I afford myself an extra treat, and it's usually every two weeks or so. I find ways to work yummy things into my diet every day while still staying under my calorie goal, so I don't feel deprived or crave anything. So on a cheat day, I might just have a small drink…

Ooooh I like the new book and new workout gear ideas :)

Thanks, that makes sense! I don't eat extremely high carb meals (carbs as in bread, I do eat a lot of fruit). Like for instance for breakfast I have cantaloupe, yogurt, a small homemade granola bar with raisins in it, and some milk. To me this is a decent breakfast, but I still feel really tired after. But the thing about…

I think as long as you're not running a marathon every day, you should be fine. Your body would let you know if it were really too much.

Thank-you guys for your time. I'm glad to hear that I'm still in the "normal" range!

Because the times food is available to me are restricted (university dining halls), I usually eat dinner around 4:30 pm. I don't eat much after that besides maybe an apple if I'm super hungry. I haven't really noticed any change in weight loss. To me, food is food, whether it's eaten at 4:30 pm or 10:00 pm.
